Baking soda is one of the most common household products used for all sorts of things, from cleaning to beautifying. Although it’s mostly used externally, baking soda can be very beneficial when consumed with water. In this article we’re going to show you the benefits of drinking baking soda water.
1.Neutralize Stomach Acid
When you eat too much processed foods, your blood pH levels become acidic. An acidic environment is the perfect place for cancer cells to grow, which means that you shouldn’t let your body become acidic. Eating more natural and healthy foods can alkalize your blood, but you can also balance your pH levels by drinking 1/2 tbsp. of baking soda with water.

In order to kill the bacteria that causes urinary tract infections, you need to provide an alkaline environment for it. You can do that by drinking 1 tbsp. of baking soda with water. - Day 1: mix 1/2 tbsp. of baking soda with cold water and drink 6 doses of this mixture, in 2 hour intervals
- Day 2: take 4 doses of the mixture in 2 hour intervals
- Day 3: take 2 doses – one in the morning and one before bedtime
Continue drinking 1 dose of this mixture daily until the symptoms are gone.

Test for low stomach acid
The stomach needs acid to digest the food. Low stomach acid can cause indigestion, bloating, inflammation, pain etc, therefore it’s essential for the stomach’s pH levels to be balanced.
You can find out if you have low or high stomach acid by doing this: dissolve 1/4 tbsp. of baking soda in 8 ounces of water and drink the mixture. It’s best you do this in the morning on an empty stomach. If you burp within 5 minutes, that means that your stomach acid levels are balanced.
