Stop Eating These 8 Foods That Cause Cancer – Oncologists Warn You!

According to the medical experts, cancer is complex set of many ailments, and our lifestyle has a lot to do with it.

To lower the risk of cancer, you should:

  • Stick to healthy diet that contains fruits and veggies
  • Quit smoking
  • Do more sport activities
  • Control your body weight

This is the list of the foods that you should avoid to decrease the risk of cancer:

Processed and sugary foods

Refined sugar and fructose are known as source of many health problems. By consuming them, level of insulin is increased which makes cancer cells grow more. Scientific research in 2006 shows that people who consume lots of sugars have more chance of pancreatic cancer. Try to restrict these foods as much as possible and replace them with honey, stevia, molasses, maple syrup and jiggery.

Red processed meat

Bacon, sausage, ham and other meats contains lots of dangerous additives and huge amount of salt. Study published in Nutrition and Cancer journal said that red processed meat can be a reason for colorectal and prostate cancer. Just avoid such meats and replace them with grass-fed meats.

Smoked/pickled food

Consuming of such foods can damage our cells and cause cancer. Smoking process is unhealthy because it leaves toxins in the meat. On the other hand, pickled food contains nitrates that change to N-nitroso and causes cancer. For long self-life, these foods have large amount of preservatives, and that’s not good.

White flour

White flour is unhealthy as it’s full of carbs, however there are many foods on the markets that contain this ingredient. Studies show that women who consume larger amounts of carbs are prone to breast cancer. Instead this flour, use whole wheat, quinoa, barley and almond flour.

Hydrogenated oils

Omega 6 acids and trans fats are poison for our body. Small amount of omega 6 can be healthy, but consuming too much will damage the cells and can be reason for skin cancer. Trans fats triggers colorectal, prostate and breast cancer. Try to replace them with coconut, olive and palm oil.

Microwave popcorn

Microwave popcorn contain perfluorooctanoic acid, which is claimed to be harmful and people exposed on this bad toxin had more chances for kidney and bladder cancer. Other studies show that perfluorooctanoic acid causes female infertility. Worrying, these popcorns contain GMOs like propyl gallate.

Potato chips

These tasty snacks have loads of calories, salt and fats that cause hypertension, obesity and high cholesterol. According to International Journal of Cancer, potato chips increases the chance for getting ovary, breast, prostate and digestive cancer. Great replacement would be homemade chips with olive oil and organic potatoes or baking apple and banana chips.

Farmed salmon

There is a huge difference between wild and farmed salmon. The wild is healthy and beneficial, which is not the case with the farmed one. Science Magazine made a statement that said too much salmon could cause cancer (thinking of: mercury, dioxins, toxaphene, flame retardants and polychlorinated biphenyls).
