That's ... bullshit? Literally did not find a single study that conclused that artificial sweeteners lead to Alzheimer's?

well tell me mr. science on how it's supposed to be done? should i have linked 200 studies instead? for that you could do what the first guy told you to do, go look it up yourself, from which we get to the next point:
                >burden of proof is cringe semantics
yes unironically, in this case, the burden of proof is for bugmen, real scientifically minded people won't just dismiss a claim because the other party (the first guy) won't provide a source (considering the information is very easily accessible), that's not science, that's politics. scientifically minded people won't choose to live in ignorance just because "its your job to prove it!!!" thats not intellectually honest

                >Researchers admit that more biological studies are needed in order to confirm definitively the effects of artificial sweeteners.
you despair or give up your favorite diet beverage forever, keep in mind that a study of this sort has some major limitations that can lead to faulty conclusions. For example:

pretty mute points, and if you actually looked at what the "for example:" section said, it was shit like "This study did not look at the overall health effects of diet soft drinks; it’s possible they are still a healthier choice than sugar-sweetened beverages.", which is obviously a stupid argument. the real question is why you so desperately want to defend unnatural chemicals.

to be honest, I'm not so sure anymore
aspartame is a carcinogen in rodents in high doses. 20mg/kg dose they gave the rats for life isn't very high, that's like 10 cans a day for a human, and they still saw an increase in Lymphoma/Leukemia in those rats. and 40mg/kg was shown to affect test and sperm count in rodents.
studies that demonstrate negative impact of aspartame seem to be dismissed way too quickly

      Anonymous

I'm pretty sure they don't use aspartame anymore
they use other derivatives of plant-based alcohols
sort of like stevia or erythritol or whatever the name is
anyways those are the ones that have now been proven to set on dementia/alzheimers in people in late age
Just switch to iced tea for the antioxidants, and make budget for a low calorie cordial/syrup with a natural flavor like peach or whatever.
I have a bottle of peach ice tea cordial right now, I need like 15ml to flavor a full 600ml mason jar of brewed and iced green tea. It only runs me 20 calories but it's worth it for 600ml of hydratation and satiation + antioxidants.
Even a lite lemon cordial or pure lemon juice as natural fructose and gives some amount of slight sweetness.
Just make your own drinks. If you're not making them at this point, you deserve for your body to be goyslopped.

get yourself a big 1L+ enamel or heat resistant stone/steel tea pot
it'll save you a lot of time brewing just one batch a day
also get one of those big big ice cube silicon molds to cool it down much faster
so you can consume it pretty much 20-30 mins after it's brewed
make sure to let it brew long enough 15-20mins
experiment with cordials, only get those made from natural flavor extracts, light or low sugar.
The more you drink it, the more you will feel like you can get by with less and less cordial.

          Safe brews anon

Most "Zero" or diet drinks still do.
There was a limited run of coke sweetened with Stevia or whatever in the mid 10's.
The problem with those other sweeteners is that you can't replicate the same initial taste in sugar, with no calories, with what you mentioned.

You are being cucked by your own body if you drink these.

Forget whether or not aspartame is carcinogenic and instead ask yourself why you are consuming something that has at best zero nutritional value.

Literally all the research on why diet soda is bad are either:
    >people who drink diet soda are fat, so it makes you fat
    >aspartame, in a concentration orders of magnitude higher that any human would consume, gave rats cancer, so it gives you cancer
    >the body might act like it's glucose (no evidence btw), so it might spike your insulin levels (no evidence, also doesn't matter btw), so it gives you beetus

Me not believing that anyone can be almost as good as sugar with zero downsides is still smarter than the both of you 2 combined
The lack of evidence on both sides makes it so that you can't really have a discussion about it with an outcome
