1) Anyone had luck growing beard hair using Minoxidil? Just bought a bottle and decided to give it a try.

2) I have some patchy spots especially on my cheeks and my sideburns do not connect along the jawline with my chin hair.

Post experiences. Also has anyone actually put it on their receeding hairline sides and saw hair grow back?

3) And last, is that shaved gap effay?

Tried it with pretty piss poor results tbh. Works better for some I guess. Get a dermaroller instead as your first line of action. Cheaper, requires less effort since it's enough with once a week and it gives better results faster. You can mix but the the effect is mostly additive rather than symergistic.

what the frick is a dermaroller and why would it work better than Minox?

nta but it's a roll with many thin nails on it, you roll it on your face and the micro holes increase bloodflow in that area or something

also how long did you tried? it takes like 6 months to see results kiddo

I tried it 2 times one for one and a half year with 2% and the second time for half a year with 5%. Both times ended up being disappointments.

I have assymmetric beard growth though with pretty intense growth on one side naturally and less on the other. I wanted to increase the patchy/thin side thickness but had no results.

I've started less than two months ago, once a day with 5% foam. There's been a big increase of those thin white hairs on my "bald" spots so hopefully it means they'll eventually become actual hairs. No side effects for now other than some light peach fuzz on my ears, which isn't really noticeable and that I would bother shaving only if I had a gf or something

foam? the one i got is liquid, like a perfume, that I have to spray.

Im a little confused at the instructions cause it says to pump the thingy 6 times (2 ml) so I guess I have to do 3 on one cheek and 3 on the other cheek? Or 6 on each side? wtf

you can spray it and then rub it more uniformly I guess, just wash your hands after

yeah, it comes out as foam but it's not like shaving cream, it goes back to liquid as soon as you rub it on. Supposedly it dries out your skin less so I went with that since I already get dry skin in winter. They say that in comparison with the liquid drops form, I don't know how the spray version fares

ok i just checked a couple yt vids and foam was the best way to apply it, spray is gonna be hard af cause it might get in my eyes, gonna need some glasses or some shit, fml

kek well at least you only got one bottle, if I were you I'd spray it on my hand than slap it on my face

sadly some people just don't respond to it, iirc a study from rogaine suggested that it's a pretty high percentage like 1/3 (that was about hair tho, like everything official about minoxidil)

Yeah ofc it's not everyone that will have poor results but it's good to manage your expectations
Experiences like won't happen to everyone

I went from pubes to full beard
used minox for about 1,5 year, the growth remained, but it took an additional year or so before the hairs became mature and thick

              absolutely recommend to everybody

Read the instruction, moron. Min has very bad side effects if you overdose.

Those are the instructions but i have to put it on both cheeks so 3 and 3, or how do i put 6 sprays on 2 sides?

You shouldn't put more than 2mL on your skin per day. 1mL at the start of the day and 1mL at the end.

Make sure not to accidentally get it in your mouth or eyes.

the shaved/cut line where he has a patchy spot is just to make the beard "pop" more by making it look more sharp
using a shaving knife can be a bit tricky to get the hang of in order to make it look symmetrical and jensen definitely
had professionals helping him make that look good

i hope that answer the question "effay" ? first time seeing this word

also personally, my full beard didnt connect fully until around the age of 24-26.. im not sure why/how it eventually filled out

        Minoxidil is a temporary remedy
The results will not last once you cease applying them

on your head yes, they're gonna fall out anyway because of DHT, but the same chemicals make beard hairs grow, you don't lose minox gains on face

minoxidil is a meme. Just get dht cream and use a qtip to apply it on those spots.

Facial hair patterning is almost entirely dht receptors. You can just overwhelm the system with a 5% cream. Costs $50 to make a lifetime supply.

Are you already completely bald or something?

You're obviously not applying it to your whole beard. I'm already a man and didn't need to do it because I can grow a full beard with my terrorist genes. I'm just a developmental biologist who studied 5-alpha reductase for a couple of years for a project. You should see 0 systemic effect filling in the gaps in OP's pic.

for hair yes, can't stop the tendency to go bald, for beard no, terminal hairs will stay

Im pretty sure minoxidil will make you grow hair on the inside of your hand it just depends on the percentage of the minoxidil in the product your using. In my experience I never had a bad enough hair line or the commitment to use it everyday for a prolonged period. Also very expensive for a mediocre product

it will make already existing hair grow bigger, and you have tiny hair on your entire body, it'll work wherever it is applied.
not on the palm of your hand tho, no hair follicles there
