If my training is consistent and specifically focused on getting stronger, then I can get stronger.

But have generally done 3 -6 months of good strength training at a time, then done something else.

I'm just a boomer that lifts to stay healthy. I've been stuck on green man in symmetric strength for years. If anything, I'm losing strength.

That's depressing. Why do something for years if are not even going to have the thrill of going past your limits?

Because while he maintains his strength his peers all become immobile blobs who would go to snap city if they tried to pick up a 10kg box. He's winning.

I know he is doing better than most, I do acknowledge that, but I don't see the point of doing something like this. Why not make the most out of it by trying hard to progress? It's hard work, but it's hard work that makes life worth living, it's the thrill of success that brings joy.
I don't see the point of keeping things boring when they can be fun, but good on him for doing better than most anyway

moronic logic, what do you mean "keep things boring"?
He's old he can't just choose to get stronger u moron. I mean I guess he could pin but then he'd be just as unhealthy as the rest of them

if you start lifting and it becomes an important part of your life at 20, you're not gonna PR your 1rms any more post 50.

had ten years of being around the same strength levels while doing the army thing with
numbers in the range of 500-615/415-500/585-700. priorities changed, moving a frick ton, and other life shit was the main culprits.
got out and added 120lbs of bodyweight from 2020 till now and hit 904/628/906 prs over the last year or so.

Maybe you should stop spinning your wheels and get on a real strength program like 5/3/1 and push yourself

I can't focus on strength long enough to beat my maxes because I love bodybuilding too much

    I'm at 355/405atg/535
But I'm 6'4 and when I'm optimizing mass (training like I'm going to go on stage) my peak stats are around 275lbs around 8% bf

I also want to roid but I'm going to die young anyway so I'm afraid to shorten it up even more by pinning
