19F, UK, autistic. I've ate like shit my whole life because me and my brother are aspies and we only like chicken nuggets and potato waffles and the like. I'm not fat (the opposite, 5'3 and 90lbs ex-anorexic) but I know what eating badly does to your body and I hate it but I'm also scared to try new foods because I hate the taste and texture. I'm trying to make a change while I'm still young.

What new food and diets can I try and how can I ease myself into it? Money isn't a problem. I'm otherwise doing well for myself, I stay out of the sun, only drink water and sometimes milk and don't do drugs/drink/etc but I really want to stop feeling so disgusting after a meal. In the day I usually eat ham, cheese, (white) bread and savoury foods like crackers, dinner is my main meal.

You will enjoy trying new foods more if you cook it yourself. Trying making something really simple first, like scrambled eggs and toast. Then gradually work your way into more complex recipes.

      Thank you.

      Those drinks are fine.
Switch out white to brown bread.
Try different types of cheeses and ham/pork.
Introduce more varied meat into your diet.
Add more bland healthy stuff like porridge then experiment adding things to it.
Get some nice M&S spreads for your crackers.
Eat some fricking vegetables, I don't care how autistic you are. What's the sensory issue? Wet foods? Dump a load of vegetables into a frying pan or oven and make them crispy if you need to idk

Thank you. I just hate anything that feels gross, like very slimy, or if it has a very strong, unpleasant smell like curry.

I'll be honest with you if I had to eat only British food I'd fricking kill myself. Your only hope is to find some anon in this very thread, hop on his dick, and move to a country with actual food.

I like British food. Maybe it's because it's the only food I know but I like it, roast dinners are one of my favourite meals.

Lady you described crackers as savoury. You don't even know what food tastes like.

          savoury

          adjective

          1.

(of food) belonging to the category that is salty or spicy rather than sweet.

Do you have an oven? Try baking bread. It's hard, especially with how yeast acts, but you'll get the hang of it with some practice. There's nothing more satisfying than a slice of warm fresh baked bread you made yourself.

Thank you. I have an oven, so I'll try it one day.

I used to struggle like you, a large part of it is forcing yourself to eat new stuff. Try branching out from what you do eat, thats how I learned to appreciate new flavours. Ham? Try a honey glazed gammon. Cheese? I assume cheddar, so try red leicester or something. Loads of different kinds of bread that can be substituted in your sandwiches or whatever.

Also, do you want to marry me?

Thank you. Also sorry no but I am scared of my own shadow. I can't remember the last time I talked with a boy outside of family/work purposes.

Listen here little baby. You're gonna get a lot of hurtful and degrading comments, but that ain't what I'm about. Let me just say, you are perfect the way you are. You hear me sugar? PERFECT. Don't ever change. You deserve anything and everything you want. Stay safe for me, baby girl.

Used to be like you but I eventually mellowed out, I’m in my early 30s.
I started by eating eggs in various ways, hard boiled with pinch of salt, scrambled with spices, on top of toast, and worked my way up to eggs on top of portobello wi the bit of ghee, then scrambled with spinach and feta cheese then Benedict eggs for example. Find various ways to prepare chicken breast, keep it simple first then work your way up to more complex later on and branch out to dark meat - I still prefer chicken breast but I can enjoy dark meat now. Took me years but it felt nice because I was able to establish a routine that lasted months at a time because of the tism.
Don’t rush, enjoy the repetition of simple, but different food. Prioritize eggs, chicken breast, cheese, and green vegetables. I like steamed asparagus the most, and overall I prefer steamed vegetables because stir fry makes them a bit oily.
I liked talon fitness in YouTube because I can learn more about nutrition and pick something from the lists that I know won’t be that unhealthy. Read up on micro nutrients when you have time it will make trying new food interesting

I'm autistic af too, hate cooking.
I own only a kettle, toaster and air fryer and I prefer to graze on several snack-meals throughout the day over large meals.

    My diet consists mostly of;
    >shelf stable deli meat (peperami sticks etc)
    >cheese portions (babybel, cheestrings)
    >ramen noodles
    >tinned fruit, mostly pineapple
    >peanuts
    >dried fruit

On occasion I'll get some wholemeal bread for toast to have with peanut butter, marmite or honey.
Once a month or so I will have a big blow-out chinese takeaway or something.

40yo, casino royale mode physique so it's working for me just fine

Just go on a carnivore diet. Look up Bella The Steak And Butter Gal, and maybe Lily Kane and Karolina Barton. Just take a look at how they, well, look. Those b***hes are GLOWING. Women on the carnivore diet look like goddesses, and report to heal all sorts of problems.

If you try it, you will thank me in a couple months.

    >stay out of the sun
BAD idea. Instead, go out in the sun when your shadow is longer than you are tall- ie, not at midday, rather in the morning or afternoon. You won't burn, and you'll feel much better. Especially if you go carnivore, people on that diet dont burn in the sun. Look up photosensitising chemicals in plants and seed oils if you think I'm full of it.

have always had extremely monotonous and lazy diet. and same issue of discomfort after eating. autism too

ray peat influenced diet fixed a lot of my issues. if u can digest milk without issues. for example i was getting <20g of protein a day for years, and i looked basically like a methhead, at bmi <16, hollow cheeks, as thin skin as +50yo ppl
but milk + gelatin in its simplicity solved that

    also
    orange juice
vitamin k so don't have to eat vegetables. also calcium + some other vitamins for proper calcium metabolism
ground beef few times a weak
everything flavored with sugar or salt
and that's basically it. all teh nutrients without having to choppy chop or boil stuff
