I like to eat broccoli because it looks like little trees. I feel like a giant who is ripping massive trees out of the ground and straight eating them.

I think you're exaggerating. It's practically crunchy water, like most vegetables with a subtle sweetness.

Do you season? Do you cook with fats?

That's one tiny cup of broccoli. One head of has 14 grams of protein, which is in the ballpark of many whey protein drinks and around the same amount of calories.

In fact broccoli has MORE protein per calorie than STEAK. And this is in addition to all the other phytonutrients, vitamins, minerals etc. broccoli has.

      >MORE protein per calorie than STEAK
Yes, because it has barely any calorie. What a dumb comparison. Eat your beef.

I heard that plant protein can't be absorbed without other proteins present

Those are incomplete proteins because this is coming from a plant. You need to spend your time farther up the food chain than hamsters to get nutrition that will grow your muscles.

Broccoli is fine, but have you ever seen a jacked rabbit? Grow up, lib.

Microwaving broccoli with some cheese on top is the fastest, most nutritious and most palatable way to eat this stuff I have found.
I crave the vitamin C, fiber and indoles but man I wish I enjoyed eating vegetables instead of having my unga bunga child palate that only likes meat and potatoes.

Come on man, steaming isn't hard.
Also salt will fix your pallet problem.

Air fryer, sesame oil, garlic seasoning.
        Microwave strips nutrients

I steam it using the microwave. Little bit of water in the bowl. Fast as possible = maximum nutrients retained, no? I've read microwave steaming is the most nutritious way to prepare veggies for that reason.
Appreciate the seasoning pointers. Maybe it's worth it to take more care with the cooking just to make it a bit more enjoyable to eat.

If by microwave steaming you mean dumping them in water and sticking it in, no, you're more akin to boiling them, which leeches nutrients into the water.
Take the time and steam it properly. And give them at least fifteen minutes, gets them nice and tender. Easy to smash, and they absorb salt nicely.

            Anonymous

I meant just a small bit of water at the bottom of the bowl to create steam, not enough to submerge any broccoli. Tender in about 6 or 7 minutes. I'll see how much I prefer them steamed on a stove, though. Ought to experiment with salt too.

Yea you're nuking that broccoli more than the steam is. And salt is essential. Hell salt everything, there is nothing that isn't better with salt. And it's good for your brain stem.
