30 day water fast: Day 5

Hello hello fit board!
Still going strong in this fast.
Starting weight: 106.8kgs
Current weight 102.2 kgs
Height 193cm or 6'3"
I feel like I can get under 100kgs before day 10. I've never fasted for this long before and it's going great!
Personally I can notice a few differences in the images, but there a long way to go still.
You're welcome to post that image of Alex Jones looking red because soon it won't be relevant anymore.
See you around the board!

your maintenance calories should be around 3000. 3000x5%7700=2 you lost 2 kgs, remaining 2.5 is water weight.

      Anonymous

Yeah, seems about right, but that's maintenance. I'm still going out walking everywhere.
Playing a lot of music, doing some activities.
I don't doubt much of that was water. But I guarantee I am spending more than maintenance.

You should be adding muscle instead of burning the stored fuel needed to do that. You have mental issues.

I won't say I don't have mental issues. I'm in this website after all. But I don't need to add muscle, have quite a bit as is.

Don't focus too much on the mirror anon, prolonged fasting preferentially burns visceral fat, which is a good thing for your metabolism and hormones. Everyone criticizing you either has no idea what they're talking about or is attempting to tear you down. You're doing the right thing.

Of course he does, he's mostly eliminated water weight and a few pounds of visceral fat at this stage. Subcutaneous fat comes last.

I fasted 26 days. 232lb -> 195lb. Spent 3 months to half a year recovering my lifts. Was 240lbs within a year (of fat).

I definitely lost a bunch of muscle from it. I also walked 2 hours a day and did some push ups, pull ups, and planks 3 times a week.

Only side effect was tongue turned yellow. Other than that nothing happened.

You must be trolling because I fasted the same amount of time and got my muscle back within 5 gym sessions. Fasting induces stem cell growth. Whatever muscle you did lose was low quality "old muscle" that looked like wagyu marbling fatty steak. You also made the mistake of not cleaning up your diet upon re-introduction of food. Should have kept to protein + fat, but you had to have your rice, potatoes, and bread didn't you?

        No

        > I fasted the same amount of time and got my muscle back within 5 gym sessions
No, unless you lift sub 2/3/4/5, in which case I don't care.

        >Whatever muscle you did lose was low quality "old muscle" that looked like wagyu marbling fatty steak.
        Not a thing.

        >Should have kept to protein + fat, but you had to have your rice, potatoes, and bread didn't you?
Yes. And 1700 calories worth of ice cream every few weeks, definitely.

So when cows eat grain and you can see the difference in their muscle quality, it's real, but when humans eat grain it doesn't affect their muscle quality?

          Laughable lol.

You were never gonna be lean because you just don't want to give up your tasty treats.

Hey bro, are you taking any supplements or just raw dogging it by completely having just water only? also, are you working out or doing any cardio alongside this? and please keep us updated with more images after a few days! Best of luck friend, I might be joining you too soon.

Dr. Sean o'mara on youtube and IG has plenty of slides showing the research for this. Just use your common sense though. How do they get marbling in a cow on purpose? feed grain and make the muscle fatty. Same with humans.

Doesn't happen when you eat animal based. (the natural human diet)

An interrupted fast which takes how long to get back into after a small keto refeed?
        Nah.

because thats not hardcore enough for the big boys here, none of them of course keep the weight off long term thats why the are still here, they also never mention that it might take months for your body to recover and and be able to digest food normally and even then you possibly will still have some permanent damage. and thats even before talking about regaining all the weight back which what happens almost always

I actually did and I am not anti fasting but encouraging every random clueless fat/skinny fat guy that not even THAT fat to fast for 30 days is moronic and if you dealt with fat people irl on daily basis and not just read words online you would know that 99% of all those big boys hard core fasters gain it all back, now post before and after pics with stats of you before and after a 30 days fast+a recent pic of yourself to prove I am wrong

my post was specifically critiquing that prideful and reckless way of thinking some people in this and previous thread have of "just fast 30 days bro lmao dont be a pussy", none of them fasted that long and dont have a clue and those who did or came close to that number gained it all back

oh yeah 30day fast without knowing the basics
            without prior experience
            is absolutely moronic
besides that i highly doubt there would be permanent damege

The body knows how to handle going long periods of time without food it's evolutionarily consistent. We literally developed fat storage for this purpose, don't be moronic.

Fasting (around since the beginning of human existence) is a fad. eating cultivated goyslop that's evolutionarily novel and inconsistent for us is normal

The only people that gain it back are the ones that eat carbs while their body is still resetting ghrelin and leptin signals after a fast.

probably right around there normal bmr equates to about 1lb a day of fat and water bound up with the fat, but bmr may drop a little on an extended fast. I don't like fasting anymore but in past I retained a lot of water I weirdly only lost on breaking the fast guessing it was due to electrolyte imbalance or messed up hormones.

You should eat at least one or two eggs, one cup of rice a day, dieting has never been easier.

Rice is the stupidest thing imaginable to regularly consume for someone that's trying to get lean, all you'll do is slow the process down and make yourself hungrier by eating it. That's why people can't go more than a couple hours without feeling like they're going to die if they don't eat, dependence on carbs.
