the fat shits who didnt show up to practice were running 30 minute 5ks in my highschool cross country days. Thats literally jogging pace. A good goal to shoot for is 20 minutes for a 5k.
Not him but I leisurly walk at 8.5 min/km. I didn't think it farfetched to walk at 7 but I see now the picture is 6 min/km. Not sure what the other ppl are on about.
It's a solid milestone when you're starting out. 25min should be your next goal if you're not interested in running greater distances. Keep it up and you should be there relatively quickly.
Its a start
Just hit sub 24 min 5k the other day, not sure what the next goal is. I want to get a sub 13 min 2 mile but last time I tried training up to it I developed shin splints.
its solid. people will tell you its mediocre and maybe its not the pace of what might be considered an 'athlete' but its pretty decent
Maybe acceptable for your first 5k, but there's a ton of improvement there.
a 6 minute mile is really good, probably takes like a minimum of 1.5 years
This is 7 minute mile.
I was never a runner, but I used to so sub 7 miles in highschool keeping a steady pace throughout.
Bretty good OP
Most "people" can't even run a whole 5k without dying. Great job and keep it up so you get faster. Next major milestone is 22 minutes.
This is not 7 minute mile. Slightly better than 7 minutes per kilometer.
The average time is right there retard and you just gave 2 different systems of measurements
Yeah, the goal was to point out that
probably confused 5k with 5mile. I can see the average mile time in the image when he seems to have missed it.
Idk, I used to run 5Ks in 16:00 minutes and thought that was fast until some little Mexican past me and completed it in 14 minutes.
I'm not being a IST elitist but that's only a good milestone if you're really overweight. I can do that without training.
Isn't this basically walking?
>walking at 9:30 min/mile pace
Yeah I’d like to see you try that, retard
speedwalking?
>calls it walking
>gets called out
>calls it speedwalking
If you’re going to count speedwalking as walking pace, then anything over 6:30 min/mile is ((walking))
like I said
99% sure you’re either being a belittling ass or are a fatfuck who never did cardio ever

anything over 20 minutes is basically walking
post running stats

Kek same I walk at around 5 min/km this thread is weird lol

Seconded, great starting pace and a good exercise pase however at a race level you should aim for between 8-8:30 minutes for your next goal.

For someone who has been jogging for less than three months it is fine I guess. Jogging 5k is a good achievement by itself.
I ran a 22 minute 5k in middle school but then realized running is gay and have never ran another 5k. Why run when you can bike
Running isn't a sport but speed walking is
