How to prevent boomer body? I’m 23

Build a very strong back. I hurt my a few times years ago and decided enough was enough. I made it a point to strengthen the frick out of my lower back and core. I still always do isolation for them and I haven't felt back pain in a long time.

        Nope

Take care of yourself. Stretch, do cardio, do resistance training, prioritise sleep, use your mind and work on your career. Find/spend time with friends, don't drink too often

Seems counterintuitive but working my back harder helped me when I was having problems. Back extensions/lightweight deadlifts with your back arched all the way back. Hardest thing is breaking a lifelong bad posture habit

I feel like DOMS has only decreased over time

i threw my back out at 29 picking up a towel after i had a shower
couldnt get out of bed for 6 days
32 now it constantly feels like i'm one wrong movement away from it happening again
      feels REAL frickin bad boys

It might actually be in your head

Fricking love planking. I rarely get back pain (usually due to forgetting to fix posture) these days now that I've lost weight but when I do, planks fix them.

I lifted heavy OHP and deadlifted big weights and got a ruptured disc and ensuing sciatic pain when I was about 29.

It seems like it builds up over time and can happen eventually if you lift either of those lifts heavy.

Just make sure to dead hang, hang upside on the chair thing posted regularly. I was able to unsnap my shit without surgery by decompressing my spine with those things, visiting a physio who put me in a machine which pulled my spine to unsnap my shit and swimming regularly which provides great relief.

37, I fixed my back pain by doing 5x10 1pl8 deadlifts every morning before breakfast. I'd probably do lighter and higher volume but the 20kg plate has the best height for comftable form and I don't want to buy bumper plates.
And yeah, I can still do my 1x5 leg day deadlift with no problem even if I do my high volume pulls.

Yes. You should in fact skip them. The best things for your back is bad posture and weak muscles. Women also find men with bad posture very attractive regardless of what the confidencecels and chadpilled people online tell you. And women also hate an athletic ass

This anon is right, you should skip deadlift and do better exercises for your posterior chain, like kettlebell swings and cleans, rack pulls, etc.. back-friendly exercises that don't include express tickets to Snap City.

Kettlebell Rus. Swings and Goblet Squats are good for posterior chain and legs, probably only thing you want to do regarding "power moves" for that portion with extra load as far as preventing injury. Chin ups and pull ups are fine though.

Yeah. 30 yo boomer here. I've been trying to DL for 12+ years and every time I got to 3 pl8 the lower back pain was annoying. Despite delaying down to the bar, stretching, slow progress carefully done, I still couldn't get my squat and DL up without knee or back pain respectively. Eventually I just gave up on them and for the last year been doing RDL, leg press, lunges. Literally no problems and my legs and ass look fine.

I am 36 and I've been getting back pain in recent months. I started stretching every day 3 weeks ago and I think it's already working but I still got spots that feel like they're permanently inflamed, a bulging disc (L4/L5) and tendonitis in other areas.

A deadlift is literally one of the most natural movements a human can do. It's just picking up something off the ground! "Oh I'm 30 and deadlifts make my back hurt" lol lmao

maybe up to like 160lbs. Most people never lift something heavier than 80lbs in their lives though. Modern humans are so fricking atrophied you wouldn't even believe.

the body wasn't build to withstand punishment for a lengthy period of time. Our bodies wear out very quickly compared to how much life we now enjoy due to technology.

not many old people are doing heavy deadlifts
