This is completely incomprehensible gibberish to me. I still have no idea what happened to her. Translation?
That's because your knowledge of the human body is limited. You dumb motherfrickers think humans are so much simpler than they actually are. I knew a skinny guy that became paralyzed from the neck down because one day something went wrong in his spine from doing absolutely nothing. Guy's in his 20s. No heavy lifts, no nothing, and he has a twin brother who's fine. Pray to god everyday and express your gratitude for the things you have in life
She's talking utter bollocks. They've given her a soft collar which are totally useless for providing any degree of immobilisation/traction. She hasn't fractured her spine and she can carry on doing some form of exercise.
this. no one gets one of these for a serious injury. I got a soft collar for whiplash when I was younger and it was a real fricking minor accident. they said it was just to minimise the chance that I'd throw my head around and prolong the healing, but I still think it didn't do shit
Not him but she says she broke her neck "from years of bad posture and bad habits that triggered more as I started lifting". So it wasn't that she tried a deadlift, felt something in her spine and game over forever. Sounds more like she deadlifted at some point, her back was a little sore after it (like everyone's) and then she twisted her neck some other way or slept with it funny or something like that and due to her weak spine/lordosis something like that happened. Then the doctor asked her if she'd been doing anything and she said she'd been deadlifting.
A lot of doctors advise nobody with any sort of spinal difficulty, lordosis or anything like that to deadlift. And he mightn't even had advised it, just suggested it (as in, he's not going to forbid it if she really wants to just to hear his warning about huge care), they want to cover their ass against malpractice suits from people who did shit form and tried to lift way more than they should. Remember a lot of people believe that noone should deadlift period - including world famous strongmen, because they think the risk is too great. But they're normally referring to orms and such.
So this girl got what she wanted. A dramatic story, her boobs and legs and butt and face in front of everyone when dressed as a thot, and her big sympathy. Just an incredible waste of everyone's time, and could really scare people - particularly girls and particularly people with spinal curves/lordosis, from a lift that can be very safe and very healthy for their spine, helping it.
>Injuries accumulate? are there parts of my body just ready to snap with no way of knowing this?
No you'll no very rarely does shit just snap without you knowing, to give an example my rear felt would hurt slightly whenever I bench cuz I didn't bench correctly and it became way worse cuz I ignored it. If you feel ny pain find the root cause and address it before it becomes a big issue.
>It only happened when i started lifting heavy >Diddlying 1 pl8 >Gym is my life >Looks completely dyel and arms are like tubes
God i hate women who pretend they lift
>Got a fricked up spine due to sitting on her ass too much >Lifts "heavy" (doesn't even look like 70kg?) to fix it instead of taking it low and slow until the issue is fixed
It's sad she's no longer able to do what she enjoy, but she really was moronic about it.
this is quite a lot of people
thats why its awful that heavy barbell lifting is shilled so much when its literally the worst thing someone with years of sitting and inuries from bad posture should be doing >another one bites the dust
Lift slowly
Do body weight training
Do stretches
Don’t just target big muscles

Also, you dont START with strength training. You start with BUILDING MUSCLE TISSUE through hypertrophy. Then after you have some good muscular development, you train the nervous system to activate your muscles efficiently through strength training.
The dumbfricks that spent the last 4 years sitting with all kind of fricked up postural issues, tightness, imbalances, join problems, just to immediately squat and deadlift deserve to be injured.

Actually kinda sad. I fricked up my neck after lifting for a year or so, supposedly because I had some "locked" muscles on one side and overused my neck to compensate. Now it aches and stiffens constantly, on top of limited head movement and cracking sounds. Can't really get help for it cause I'm broke and I sure as frick won't stop lifting but I've at least switched to calisthenics and bands to put less strain on it. Fricking sucks if you pick up something to improve your health and it only bites you in the ass because of some underlying issues you had no idea about.
Good reading comprehension, ESL anon.
I've never ego lifted, purely bodybuilding routines at 50-60% 1rm. Having imbalances which you don't know about will frick you up over time but since you don't lift you've got nothing to worry about.
I do a normal temp shower after gym so usually in the morning and a cold one in the evening, I remember cold showers after working out being the meta as well but they patched it a while back and now theyre bad for you

Sounds like she only lifted to make her ass bigger and completely ignored the rest. And even worse actively fricked up her posture to make her ass stick out more.
yeah, sounds like his head is up his ass. It's honestly embarrassing reading some of this stuff. We have no evidence to believe her form or her posture was bad due to "sticking out her ass", why do this fake bullshit? It just undermines all the real and valid criticism of this and similar girls.
Spasms. I don't know all the medical details but injuries can build up from bad posture, bad form, and wear/tear then your spine can just destroy itself out of nowhere. I've had it happen twice in my lumbar spine, not as bad as this girl since I recovered with PT. It feels like your spine is trying to crush itself and you can't control it; the pain during and afterward is constant, intense, and debilitating. The only 10/10 pain that I've experienced in my life is from back injuries.

is just a postural problem, she wouldnt be able to be a powerlifter but with good tretament and recovery she should be able to lift some weight soon, deadlifts and heavy squats are probably out of the equation tho
my guess would be a or multiple herniated disks from lifting wrong and too heavy
now saying it was bad posture too cope for being stupid
i personally dont dealift and squat anymore
just rings and machines
more safe more fun more overall energy for everything else like boxing etc. without frying my CN every day
do people really struggle and get injured at that weight?
>Destroys neck with 1pl8...
Why bother reading when you can just look at the picture and post all about it?!
She admitted no specific lift or even lifting in general directly caused her fracture as can be seen in the first few posts. She says lifting "brought it out" or some shit. She is wearing a soft collar, that means the injury is bullshit basically. It comes from a spinal condition she was born with.
There is nothing stopping her from lifting again. Her doctor probably said that because she has lordosis/spinal problems and he wants to cover his ass. Other doctors say you can lift with this condition and it might be good for it, just be careful.
It was in a brazilian crossfit gym iirc, the article (don't have a link sry) mentioned that he had to undergo a surgery though I don't know the outcome
On social media, friends of the young man commented on the surgery, stating that he is doing well. Another friend told g1 that the young man is going to undergo physical therapy, and that he should not lose movement in any of his limbs.

It's one of the Olympic style competition lifts, I think Crossfit Games too, but if he's not doing it for competition the benefit is explosive power. There are some other lifts you could do for essentially the same effect, but Hammer Strength machines, which most gyms don't have, is the only one that doesn't involve pushing a heavy weight above your head. The guy in the video lost control because he was using a trash grip fwiw.
so many injuries can be prevented by simply listening to your body to know when your about to drop things or hurt yourself, and knowing where things will drop. There are way too many people simply not thinking and being clumsy whey they really oughtn't be

This will not happen if you don't egolift with a large weight as a newb. Do it in small increments and you'll be able to manage throwing it forwards before the fall or just jumping backwards yourself.
Also, a better technique is to do the split jerk, which vastly increases your balance so you don't fall backwards.
Even more, this guy should've dumped the weight behind him and jumped forwards. One of the first things you should do before doing heavy oly lifts is to LEARN TO BAIL FROM EVERY DIRECTION. Learn to bail backwards and forwards from the clean, the jerk and the snatch. Only after that do smart people start adding weights to the bar.
She is visibly more muscular than the average woman (keep in mind the poor lighting). I feel bad for women - even for the ones that lift like 99% will never know the joy of 3pl8 anything.
>I'm a dyel who looks like shit
You either have bad genetics or body dysmorphia. If you warm-up bench with 65kg you should look fine. Not jacked, but good. Then again, I'm basing this off of how big I was at that point and I'm a manlet.
Honestly it's just unfair, if I was a woman I'd 100% take anavar. Imagine going to the gym 4-5 times a week and you gain like 1 kg of muscle in your newbie year and your bench goes up from the 15kg curl bar to the oly bar + 2x2.5 kg plates. >bad genetics or body dysmorphia
Genetics are nothing special I guess, body dysmorphia most likely because I'm a 5'8 dwarf and >5'11" dyels who mog me in clothes. My bench rn is only 75x3, I usually do like 4-5 warmup reps at 65, then just two at 70 to get a sort of "feel" for the weight before my first working set.
Woman who has been natty lifting for over a year here.
You're absolutely right, my progress is shit and I put a lot of effort into it too. I lift 4-5 days a week and track macros. I get enough protein per bodyweight. And you can still only slightly tell I lift. The biggest differences for me are that I have a bigger ass now (I used to be flat, very flat, bad genetics but squatting gave me something) and if I take my shirt off my back is very very muscular. There's not much else to clue someone in. My lifts are .5/.7/1.5/2
Another thing, my bench stalls extremely hard because my chest muscles are physically smaller than yours. No matter what I do, you and every untrained man out there will likely be stronger than me simply because the volume of your chest muscle is much larger than mine. Being a woman is truly the worst roll of the die.
>I get enough protein
make sure the 1g/lbs of bw protein is all animal protein though. I don't count homosexual ass plant "protein" at all. I use myfitnesspal and I go and manually check the protein content of shit like bread, oats, fruits, veggies, etc. and subtract that from what the app is telling me. Also unironically get a pt session, I just did a workout with my fat friend who's been lifting for 5 months, and he didn't even know how to breathe while benching. His first set was 6x45 kgs and he managed 9 clean reps after I showed him how to breathe. There could be like 20 different "obvious" things like that that you aren't doing because no one's ever told you to.
Also also unironically if I were you I'd just take like 5mg of a sarm per day and probably double my gains with 0 masculinising side effects.
You sound like a homosexual zoomer lmao, sarms really?

>sarms really?
Obviously. A woman on 5 mg of lgd will build significantly more muscle than a natty woman with elite genetics. >j-just take var
Yeah you could, but why bother when a b***h ass dose of a many times less androgenic compound will already give you better gains than you could ever hope to get naturally?
I don't want to frick up my body more than I already do by smoking too much weed. I'm working on quitting but it's hard. I'm hoping I can avoid any negative side effects since I'm only 23 still.
Also, as for protein, does milk/Greek yogurt count? A lot of my protein content does come from dairy as I am a white woman.

>does dairy count?
Yes, as long as it isn't some overly processed complicated food that has a bunch of other ingredients with plant "protein". >negative side effects?
At 5mg? Absolutely none. Just take it for 10-12 weeks then do 10 weeks off and see how much muscle you can hold onto. Probably most of it. In any case it's way less harmful for your health (and gains) than smoking weed. At least switch to edibles or something.

Yeah I avoid plant protein. I'm actually slightly autistic, so I eat the same thing almost everyday. The only thing that changes is dinners but they're all generally protein/carb(rice or mashed potatoes)/vegetable.
Yeah, frick. Weed is awful. It's the only thing that makes me less anxious so I keep turning to it. Edibles are hard to dose but they also hurt your liver so I'm trashing my body either way. I've managed to cut down a lot but I can't let go of my nightly bowl before bed for some reason. Are there really no side effects for a small dose btw? I'm interested. I wish I could look more muscular, although it would slim my dating pool even more so.

Look, I'm not a doctor but the thing is, sarms work ridiculously well for women. If I took 10-20 mgs of sarms a day I'd end up losing gains on the long run because they're enough to disrupt my endocrine system and cause a whole heap of issues with estrogen deficiency, but not enough to build more muscle than good old natural healthy male hormones. As a woman, they won't disrupt your endocrine system because it's completely different. You'll get to keep your normal healthy estrogen levels (estrogen is anabolic and plays an essential role in neural, joint, bone and organ health), while increasing your total anabolic hormone activity by a shitload. Some sarms at these miniscule dosages will be more anabolic than the same amount of testosterone, while having a fraction of the androgenic effec of the same amount of testosterone. Some women will take 10-20 mgs of anavar which is several times more androgenic than sarms, and it still takes them a year or two to start looking kinda sus. >slim my dating pool
The classic "I don't want to be too muscly" womancope. You won't "accidentally" become too buff. You're a woman, it's hard as frick for you to build muscle. It's hard enough for a man to look like he lifts, and we have like 15-20 times more test than you. That "toned" look on women that literally 90% of men like is the result of weight training and gaining some muscle while having female fat distribution.

don't listen to the moronic roidtroony. SARMS are so horribly researched, but even so the same shit like chronic up/down-regulation of all kinds of receptors that will disrupt your normal physiology is bound to occur. the balance between androgens and estrogens also regulates your cycle, so it's not as simple as the roidtroony imagines it. Don't frick up your body at 23

Don't listen. If you take anything anabolic, you will chnage your face. The closer muscles are to the brain and the spine, the more anabolic receptors they have. In the result you can easily tell of woman roids/take sarms just by looking at her jaw muscles. They are always overly developed. The jaw bone itself gets bigger. They all have man's fase doesn't matter if the shit thwy take has any androgenic effect. No mustage, but muscular chad's jaw - that is still man's face.
If men wanted to frick huge muscular bodies with chad's jaw, they would be just gay.

honest question, does lifting larger amounts really matter to you? it never did to me, only staying consistent in my routine. i've never strived for numbers, i don't care
I get that everyone here is young and immortal who believes someone has to be doing something wrong to go to snap city. I get it, it helps you take some feeling of control back from the demiurge. Repeat after me “life isn’t fair”.
After almost twenty years of being healthy and active, I randomly blew up two discs in my neck working out. I wasn’t ego lifting and form was fine. I ended up having to have surgery and take time away. My surgeon basically told me that sometimes genetics and dumb luck can cause a healthy person to just one day have issues. In other words, shit happens.
>humans are immutable perfect machines and theres absolutely no way something could go wrong ever as long as you exercise and eat healthy every single day of your life
Lmao the cope of these children, you WILL get old and your body WILL fail you, no matter how hard you try.

Nobody ever says that, you dumb Black person. And I'm no zoomer, I've been here since 2008. Your posts just positively reek of gay seething and coping. God only knows why you're so attached to the idea that you couldn't possibly have made some kind of mistake to wreck your neck - and only God gives a frick. Back to LULZ you go, demoralization dork.
>saying that your body will deteriorate with age
That isn't what you said, but hey, move the goalposts if that helps your cope. Just keep moving them until you land in LULZ.
I was lifting in a home gym doing weight I had done for ages. I said those things as an inb4 for you morons who inevitably were going to say it could have been prevented with better form, etc.
Unless you're doing dangerous powershitter cope moves, there's no way your body will spontaneously fail with well performed lifts without warning signs.
If you're going just a little bit too heavy/slightly imperfect form, you'll start to feel discomfort, have longer recovery times, etc. So you can get adequate rest and adjust form/load on your next workout and everything will be fine.
People get fricked because they either ignore the many signs their bodies give them, or because they do unecessarily dangerous exercises that snap their shit at once.
I.E. you can feel your elbows becoming an annoyance and aching just a little too much after each session months or years before you develop irreversible tendon damage. But people tend to cope with ibuprofen instead of bettering form and reducing load.
Just wait. You'll see. I train with plenty of older people in a variety of sports, and at some point your body WILL crap out on you, experience, warm-ups and proper form or not. I've seen too many older people get injured doing nothing to be naive enough to believe your body will be nice enough to warn you every time. It won't.

Think about a car, anon. Sometimes parts just break. Wear and tear causes it a lot as do crashes, wrecks, and outright abuse, but other times cars that are babied and have all preventative maintenance done will still have issues. Sometimes even brand, new cars will break down. I had an alternator go in a car that was two months old once. Yes, you can do a lot to prevent this…until chance or fate says “frick you”. You’ll find out one day, young anon.

Get fricked zoomer, death awaits us all.
Guarantee you were deficient in one or multiple nutrients. Guarantee you fell for some mediterranean diet meme or, God forbid, you were a vegan.
Or you were ego lifting and are a pathological liar.
Listen, you are talking to two different anons. I have a good diet. My doc even commented on how great my blood work was. I eat meat, get plenty of protein, and was lifting a weight I was used to lifting. You seem to think you can prevent all bad outcomes from happening in life. You can manage them to the best of your ability, but shit can still happen.
I tweaked something in my neck while warming up for weighted chin ups once and it fricked my shit up to the point where I lost the grip strength in my left hand. It went away on its own in a month or so though and has been totally normal since.
I have a fricked up neck from years of hand egg. Always creaking and popping. Sometimes it flares up right at the base of my skull and gets really sore there and causes headaches and sheit.
Me neither. I've been lifting for over ten years, injured myself a few times, and I cannot piece together what she's talking about. Her bad posture? Being in the hospital with a neck brace is from something acute and immediate. If she has bad posture and she tweaked the shit out of something I woild never say don't lifr again. I would only tell her get a reverse hyper machine and hammer those for a good year straight.
How do people frick themselves up with deadlifts so much? It's the fricking squats that snap my shit up. Even with lower back problems I can do heavy deadlifts all day without issue. Love deadlifts.
Most recently tweaked a nerve in my back doing squats with a fricking 40lbs kettlebell though wtf.
Frick squats.
why are people so moronic?
It's virtually impossible to get hurt permanently by doing >squats >front squats >lunges >pull ups >weighted pushups >dips >dumbbell ohp
it's all you need and it's idiot proof. >t.had a disc injury and had to rethink how I lifted in order to heal. And I did.
Why can't IST realize that some people just don't have the best genetics for lifting? Most asians are like this (thin bones, low body fat) and a lot of them won't even reach 1/2/3/4 until maybe 2 years even if they make it a priority.
Leave the heavy deadlifts and squats to the pros ffs.
So many gym zoomer morons go full weight every single workout to feel good about themselves. Then after years you see them limping or completely out of shape.
lmao she visited snap city with a 1 plate deadlift? why do so many b***hes pretend to be obsessed with the gym when they are all pathetically weak? also she is mad ugly and starved for social media attention... what a great woman
Makes me mildly goncenred given my doctor told me my spine has a very, very slight curve to it and I've also since been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. Not sure how something like that becomes inheritable without killing off the lineage.

I knew a skinny guy that became paralyzed from the neck down because one day something went wrong in his spine from doing absolutely nothing. Guy's in his 20s. No heavy lifts, no nothing, and he has a twin brother who's fine. Pray to god everyday and express your gratitude for the things you have in life
She didn't break her neck. She's attentionseeking on reddit
So let her. It's reddit, why do you give a frick
Cause it's on fit and people were discussing it
amen
Jesus Christ, I hope you're trolling for this imaginary poor guy's sake but more selfishly because you're scaring the shit out of me
everyday is an adjective, dumbass, you mean every day
Vaxxed
>from doing absolutely nothing
Except eating junk food that caused inflammation on every level inside his body I imagine?
She's talking utter bollocks. They've given her a soft collar which are totally useless for providing any degree of immobilisation/traction. She hasn't fractured her spine and she can carry on doing some form of exercise.
This. They probably told her to rest and ice for a few weeks and gave her tylenol. Attention whoring did the rest.
this. no one gets one of these for a serious injury. I got a soft collar for whiplash when I was younger and it was a real fricking minor accident. they said it was just to minimise the chance that I'd throw my head around and prolong the healing, but I still think it didn't do shit
it can still be a fracture, just not a complete one, probably has some hairline cracks or some shit
>Injuries accumulate? are there parts of my body just ready to snap with no way of knowing this?
No you'll no very rarely does shit just snap without you knowing, to give an example my rear felt would hurt slightly whenever I bench cuz I didn't bench correctly and it became way worse cuz I ignored it. If you feel ny pain find the root cause and address it before it becomes a big issue.
you sure it wasn't a brain injury anon?
>AHHHH I'M GETTING LORDOSIS
Never shower gang wins again
Didn't know we were a gang
We're not, we're a family.
>It only happened when i started lifting heavy
>Diddlying 1 pl8
>Gym is my life
>Looks completely dyel and arms are like tubes
God i hate women who pretend they lift
i can deadlift 1pl8 and i'm 5'6 and literally dont lift
forgot to mention i'm also gay and a femboy
>Got a fricked up spine due to sitting on her ass too much
>Lifts "heavy" (doesn't even look like 70kg?) to fix it instead of taking it low and slow until the issue is fixed
It's sad she's no longer able to do what she enjoy, but she really was moronic about it.
this is quite a lot of people
thats why its awful that heavy barbell lifting is shilled so much when its literally the worst thing someone with years of sitting and inuries from bad posture should be doing
>another one bites the dust
What do you propose, then?
Lift slowly
Do body weight training
Do stretches
Don’t just target big muscles
gays
Start off with calisthenics so you can still do pull ups/Nordic curls when you eventually get into barbell/weights stuff and get heavy.
Progress slowly with barbell lifts. Don't fall for the "1/2/3/4 is achievable in under a year for most people" meme
>literally anything that doesnt involve loading your spine with hundreds of pounds that requires excellent alignment and mind-muscle connection in small restricted movements youll never do in real life activities that does nothing to build muscle
if you want to look good just do a regular bodybuilding hypertrophy program
or get involved in a sport
or pilates, yoga, etc
you can still squat and all that shit just train like a normal person wanting to grow muscle not an autist internet loser that needs numbers to go up while still being lonely
more than likely the dumb b***h in OP never bothered doing any other exercise
she tried barbell training and ruled out other more sensible and healthy forms of working out, and it was probably reinforced by all the memes online
she's just like the other nerds that broke their body from years of sitting and decided to do the worst thing you can possibly do if you have bad posture and alignment
and took advice from random fatties on reddit
The b***h said heavy lifting gave her a great feeling or whatever, but believe it or not, ALL workouts will give you different types of "highs", barbell training is a cope for people scared to do other workouts
no one at all cares how much you can bench or squat unless you plan to just impress other fat boys and not ever get laid
i never met a barbell lifter without backpain or injuries from lifting
so many stupid fricks at my gym complain about pain but continue to powerlift
theyll be in the doctors office by 25
Also, you dont START with strength training.
Fricking sucks if you pick up something to improve your health and it only bites you in the ass because of some underlying issues you had no idea about.
lol @ morons thinking heavy lifting will "improve your health"
who the frick is going around telling people heavy lifting is healthy?
Good reading comprehension, ESL anon.
I've never ego lifted, purely bodybuilding routines at 50-60% 1rm. Having imbalances which you don't know about will frick you up over time but since you don't lift you've got nothing to worry about.
Wait, I shouldn't do cold showers after lifting? But that's the opposite of what IST told me to do. Should I go back to warm ones?
I do a normal temp shower after gym so usually in the morning and a cold one in the evening, I remember cold showers after working out being the meta as well but they patched it a while back and now theyre bad for you
It is, unless you are moronic.
>not lifting is safe bro
Got a webm of what happened? My guess is a failed snatch/clean and press
Her response is kinda vague idk
Sounds like she only lifted to make her ass bigger and completely ignored the rest. And even worse actively fricked up her posture to make her ass stick out more.
>>And even worse actively fricked up her posture to make her ass stick out more.
How can someone have that bad of reading comprehension?
yeah, sounds like his head is up his ass. It's honestly embarrassing reading some of this stuff. We have no evidence to believe her form or her posture was bad due to "sticking out her ass", why do this fake bullshit? It just undermines all the real and valid criticism of this and similar girls.
This is completely incomprehensible gibberish to me. I still have no idea what happened to her. Translation?
woman born with shitty spine
shitty spine broke down over time
So, nothing fitness related then. Delete thread
>lol
anyway this is one of the reasons I only do bodyweight training
Probably got a pinched nerve or something and is hamming it up for leddit.
>broke my neck
Still can type and use all motor functions just fine.
Didn't get paralyzed.
Complete medical treatment is wearing a foam neck scarf.
She stiffed her spine always so she can gaze into the mirror instead of holding a neutral spine..
Women problems
What? How does your neck just suddenly break from bad posture?
That's a clean and press, not a snatch.
>i broke my neck in an accident with my green Toyota officer
>so why you sent us a pic of you standing near a bmw?
>because that's my favorite car!!
Is she moronic?
So, coomers have a lot of "Accumulated injuries" for jerking off too much? Are their dicks ready to fall off?
is just a postural problem, she wouldnt be able to be a powerlifter but with good tretament and recovery she should be able to lift some weight soon, deadlifts and heavy squats are probably out of the equation tho
>deadlift
>survive
ngmi
>this is like the 4th post in the thread
>still somehow 270 posts arguing about deadlifts and snapping your shit
This board is so moronic and gay
Masterful. The underwater weighing test of this decade
my guess would be a or multiple herniated disks from lifting wrong and too heavy
now saying it was bad posture too cope for being stupid
i personally dont dealift and squat anymore
just rings and machines
more safe more fun more overall energy for everything else like boxing etc. without frying my CN every day
Why bother reading when you can just look at the picture and post all about it?!
Other doctors say you can lift with this condition and it might be good for it, just be careful.
>reading when you can make assumptions based on the pic being a girl
Maybe you're on the wrong board, my bro.
>WHITE BOY SUMM-ACK!
OH NO NO NO
Did he frick up his spine?
Looks like he became tetraplegic, holy shit.
It was in a brazilian crossfit gym iirc, the article (don't have a link sry) mentioned that he had to undergo a surgery though I don't know the outcome
https://g1.globo.com/ce/ceara/noticia/2022/06/30/atleta-de-crossfit-passa-por-cirurgia-apos-ser-atingido-por-barra-com-peso-durante-exercicio-em-fortaleza.ghtml
On social media, friends of the young man commented on the surgery, stating that he is doing well. Another friend told g1 that the young man is going to undergo physical therapy, and that he should not lose movement in any of his limbs.
In the news they showed his x-ray. The spinal nerve was definitely torn, to yea, he will be disabled for the rest of his life
literal a meme exercise
deserved it
>picking up a barbell from the floor is a meme

What’s the point of this exercise? Are OHPs and deadlifts alone not enough? My younger brother is trying to do this lift and i’m worried about him.
It's an Olympic lift, more of a test of technique and muscle control than raw strength.
What you witnessed is what happens when you don't have either
so many injuries can be prevented by simply listening to your body to know when your about to drop things or hurt yourself, and knowing where things will drop. There are way too many people simply not thinking and being clumsy whey they really oughtn't be
weird; my posture improved greatly when I started doing more deadlifts, carries, and farmer's walks
He's alright
damn that takes skill to do that right after getting hit on the head with such a weight.
But what buttholed rolled the barbell towards him?
>But what buttholed rolled the barbell towards him?
The roastie in grey moon walking away
normies dont snatch or clean press and roasties even less, they don't even know what it is
This will not happen if you don't egolift with a large weight as a newb.
Only after that do smart people start adding weights to the bar.
kek. normies that get into these meme lifts are moronic
How the frick did she snap her shit up that bad with 150?
Deserved
Post body now.
your next move will be to call me a dyel but I'm one step ahead of you
Why would they even ask you to post body for 1pl8 bench?
why would you even attempt to find logic and reason within a "post body" poster's mind?
You aren't dyel and this place is full of cancerous non-body posters trying to non-mog each other
>'mirin
Do you though?
He posted his body now it’s your turn
All deadlifters and the like will be walking with canes when they’re older
Shit never finna lift again broseph
>snapping your shit for a 65 kilogram deadlift
do women really? I'm a dyel who looks like shit and I use that weight for bench warmup sets
Yes but will it have negative side effects? Most likely
>does dairy count?
I wish I could look more muscular, although it would slim my dating pool even more so.
>are there really no side effects
That "toned" look on women that literally 90% of men like is the result of weight training and gaining some muscle while having female fat distribution.
>t. roidtroony
don't listen to the moronic roidtroony. SARMS are so horribly researched, but even so the same shit like chronic up/down-regulation of all kinds of receptors that will disrupt your normal physiology is bound to occur. the balance between androgens and estrogens also regulates your cycle, so it's not as simple as the roidtroony imagines it. Don't frick up your body at 23
>t. neurobiologist
not a doctor, but I trust that I know more physiology than the average moron posting here
Don't listen.
If men wanted to frick huge muscular bodies with chad's jaw, they would be just gay.
>doesn't know the difference between anabolic and androgenic
>"anabolic receptors" lmao

The absolute state of ego lifting
I get that everyone here is young and immortal who believes someone has to be doing something wrong to go to snap city. I get it, it helps you take some feeling of control back from the demiurge. Repeat after me “life isn’t fair”.
After almost twenty years of being healthy and active, I randomly blew up two discs in my neck working out. I wasn’t ego lifting and form was fine. I ended up having to have surgery and take time away. My surgeon basically told me that sometimes genetics and dumb luck can cause a healthy person to just one day have issues. In other words, shit happens.
>I did literally nothing wrong! Perfectly healthy tissues just spontaneously ruptured!
Cope.
>humans are immutable perfect machines and theres absolutely no way something could go wrong ever as long as you exercise and eat healthy every single day of your life
Lmao the cope of these children, you WILL get old and your body WILL fail you, no matter how hard you try.
Get fricked zoomer, death awaits us all.
>humans are immutable perfect machines
Nobody ever says that, you dumb Black person. And I'm no zoomer, I've been here since 2008. Your posts just positively reek of gay seething and coping. God only knows why you're so attached to the idea that you couldn't possibly have made some kind of mistake to wreck your neck - and only God gives a frick. Back to LULZ you go, demoralization dork.
>saying that your body will deteriorate with age is now 'demoralization'
The absolute state of this board
>saying that your body will deteriorate with age
That isn't what you said, but hey, move the goalposts if that helps your cope. Just keep moving them until you land in LULZ.
Right?? That guy reeks of narcissism.
Saying "I wasn't even ego lifting" just proves to me that he was in fact ego lifting (as most guys are)
I was lifting in a home gym doing weight I had done for ages. I said those things as an inb4 for you morons who inevitably were going to say it could have been prevented with better form, etc.
Just wait. You'll see. I train with plenty of older people in a variety of sports, and at some point your body WILL crap out on you, experience, warm-ups and proper form or not. I've seen too many older people get injured doing nothing to be naive enough to believe your body will be nice enough to warn you every time. It won't.
>crap out on you
>2 blown disks
lol what a moron you are
>Just wait. You'll see.
>Stop exercizing Anon, or you will become disabled! You just wait!
You were talking to a different, anon
Pathetic old man
Imagine dommering yourself up like this at your wisdom age
Think about a car, anon. Sometimes parts just break. Wear and tear causes it a lot as do crashes, wrecks, and outright abuse, but other times cars that are babied and have all preventative maintenance done will still have issues. Sometimes even brand, new cars will break down. I had an alternator go in a car that was two months old once. Yes, you can do a lot to prevent this…until chance or fate says “frick you”. You’ll find out one day, young anon.
I'm so full of vitamin K my bones don't break even when they probably should have
Guarantee you were deficient in one or multiple nutrients.
What exercise were you doing when it happened?
What does one need to do to blow 2 discks in a neck? Neck curls with 100kg barbel?
I could fix her.
She doesn't need fixing. She's strained a muscle in her neck, she needs a week off the gym and to dial in her form.
Give her a thick BWC and she's as good as new
I tweaked something in my neck while warming up for weighted chin ups once and it fricked my shit up to the point where I lost the grip strength in my left hand. It went away on its own in a month or so though and has been totally normal since.
Pinched nerves
I have a fricked up neck from years of hand egg. Always creaking and popping. Sometimes it flares up right at the base of my skull and gets really sore there and causes headaches and sheit.
I still don't understand how this happened
Jfc asian women are ugly. Do you think she caked on makeup before taking this photo?
>lifting is my escape from this sad reality
I feel bad for her just because of this line
Should I bother with volume deadlifts? Wanting to do BBB.
use a hex bar and you'll be fine.
Oh that's a great idea, thanks anon.
Yes, just consider failure when your form breaks down, rather than when you cant brak the bar off the floor
She had nice breasts too baka
Lol she’s wearing one of those things that Slavs wear to court when they’re trying to get paid compensation for injuries
>DL 1pl
>breaks neck
can probably lift again in a few months doctors are homosexuals
>have such poor posture your head all but falls off whilst trying to DL 1 plate
what a disaster
Kazakhstan loves women and Kazakstan delivers. Take a minute of your time to thank Kazakhstan today bros
>I should have enjoyed it and didn't let anyone affect my motivation
Why is she blaming others?
How do people frick themselves up with deadlifts so much? It's the fricking squats that snap my shit up. Even with lower back problems I can do heavy deadlifts all day without issue. Love deadlifts.
Most recently tweaked a nerve in my back doing squats with a fricking 40lbs kettlebell though wtf.
Frick squats.
have you tried getting the form correct?
why are people so moronic?
It's virtually impossible to get hurt permanently by doing
>squats
>front squats
>lunges
>pull ups
>weighted pushups
>dips
>dumbbell ohp
it's all you need and it's idiot proof.
>t.had a disc injury and had to rethink how I lifted in order to heal. And I did.
> no hinge
Sorry calisthenics is an incomplete discipline
this...unless you're t'd up then its way too much stress on the body...just not worth it
I want to have sex with her btw
Never do deadlifts lads
test
Okay bros what exercise do I do besides deadlift? I do a bunch of goblet squats and deadlifts and that's it...
>squats
kek enjoy your ticket to snap city
WTF DO I DO AHHH SNAP CITY IS COMIN FOR ME
Imagine thinking squats and deadlifts are bad for you lmaooooooooooooooo
If you don't squat and deadlift, you don't lift, simple as
How the frick you gonna break your neck on a 1pl8 deadlift, what??????????
UHHHH? Any lifts for bad posture bros?
I don't wanna snap my spine...
Why can't IST realize that some people just don't have the best genetics for lifting? Most asians are like this (thin bones, low body fat) and a lot of them won't even reach 1/2/3/4 until maybe 2 years even if they make it a priority.
Oly lifts are a meme. IDK why people like them.
Just squat, deadlift, bench and press.
Doesn't even look like a standard barbell, that thing looks like it's 10kg. Also is she doing a double underhand grip?
>gym is le me life
>70 kilo
>Muh muscle macho lifts
Leave the heavy deadlifts and squats to the pros ffs.
So many gym zoomer morons go full weight every single workout to feel good about themselves. Then after years you see them limping or completely out of shape.
>gym is my life
How pathetic some people are
do people really struggle and get injured at that weight?
>Destroys neck with 1pl8...
lmao she visited snap city with a 1 plate deadlift? why do so many b***hes pretend to be obsessed with the gym when they are all pathetically weak? also she is mad ugly and starved for social media attention... what a great woman
On the one hand, that really sucks. On the other hand, it's a Redditor so it doesn't matter.
based, how will thedonald and electiongays ever recover?
>gym is my life dude
>im just messed up without the gym
>i go beastmode in the gym, you wouldnt understand senpai
>my HECKIN based gymbro gf is injured and in a dark place coz the GYM meant that much to her, did I mention she's ASIAN?
>double under hands 1 pl8
>le heckin based lifting belt
>le heckin based flat shoes
>knees over barbell
Get a new hobby you attention seeking fugly asiatic.
bamp
>deadlifting
Couldn't be me
Makes me mildly goncenred given my doctor told me my spine has a very, very slight curve to it and I've also since been diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis. Not sure how something like that becomes inheritable without killing off the lineage.
I fricked her
