    Barbell Bench press is useless, especially after hitting 2 plate. Risk/reward ratio makes it not worth it. Same with deadlift after reaching 3 plate

    405 is like 99th percentile, most lifetime lifters even will never get close. So it's a remarkable feat if you can manage. I stopped around 395, flat bb bench is a meme.

      Roids generally. A 4pl8 bench given you arent open competitor would get you a medal anywhere from bronze to gold in nationals pretty much regardless of where you live.

      it is an ABSURD feat of strength. So to achieve that without roids is.... it is theoretically possible but its.... surreal

      225 is probably closer to 99th percentile. 315 is maybe 99,5, 4pl8 is 99,999999999999999% its difficulty to say what the actual decimal is but yeah.

        Not to blow my own horn or anything but I always thought it was cool that I can bench press a ton while being built like a spider monkey. Leg exercises on the other hand have always been a pain.

      yeah, for me to get up to 350 I had to get high bodyfat and just focus on bench mostly for like several months. I look like i have breasts and im hoping doing lots of back and shoulders and losing fat will tighten my body up

    I can hit 315 for 5. I used to think I'd never want to bench more than 225. Point is, when some people get stronger they likely want to get even stronger when that goal is achieved.

    It is natural for men to want to be bigger & stronger than other men. The question should rather be, what caused you to not want to achieve this?
