    At 5'11" a great weight for you would be 170 pounds, as long as it's muscle and not a lot of fat from being lazy and eating junk food.

      Just to add on, because I keep saying this in every thread. If you just want to be a healthy man in good shape that is actually maintainable over the long-term, you should be aiming for a BMI of 23 - 25 and a bodyfat % of 14 - 16.

      Just take your height (barefoot, be honest with yourself) then look up at what weight would put you in the 23 - 25 BMI range, then start working out and eating enough healthy food to put you in that range.

      Just for a quick reference of healthy, maintainable weights:

      - 5'7", 150 - 160, bodyfat % 14 - 16

      - 5'10", 165 - 175, bodyfat % 14 - 16

      - 6'1", 180 - 190, bodyfat % 14 - 16

      - 6'4", 195 - 205, bodyfat % 14 - 16

    I joined the military at that weight and height and they literally put me on required extra food to bulk up. I had hip and knee pain from being so underweight. Best of luck skellybro

      I just stumbled on this board but that’s me. I’m almost 32 and I’m 5’9”, have never weighed above 140 lbs and I’m probably in the 130s right now, maybe even close to 130. My lower body actually seems relatively normal looking to me, probably because I bicycle a lot and also regularly did running cardio sports. I’m not one of those guys who has emaciated stick thighs you see under pants. It’s just the upper body that’s completely emaciated. Emaciated arms, emaciated chest.

      I don’t think I have anorexia because I definitely do eat, I just don’t “bulk”, I’ll just eat a regular amount of food and stop. I’ve also never been in a gym, I know how pathetic that is at 32, but I’m just so ashamed of how emaciated and weak I am that I never wanted to step foot in one and have everyone see how pathetic I am. I have avoidant personality disorder that’s ruined my life so that’s also a factor in avoiding the gym

        Don't be ashamed of it bro. It's astronomically rare(>99.5% of guys even in-shape ones in their 30s have a full-on or developing beer gut) and it's your thing. You may not be as emaciated and weak as you think you are. Do regular bodyweight exercises to have at least one body part that looks like you use it. I'm the same age and i think it's comical how I look like a 15 year old cross country runner shirtless. I intend to evolve into the weirdly skinny old man at the gym stereotype.

        So basically I'm just gonna not get fat
