    531 turns into a complete meme routine once you read Beyond 531

    >do the 531 sets, ie 1 working set per week
    >then do joker sets, meaning doing maxes like westside
    >then do first set last, a reverse pyramid
    >then do 5x10 of 50%

    and you do this 4x per week for each lift

        yeah it's pretty dumb
        he calls 5x10 "boring but big" as if it's some specialized routine
        5x5, 3x10, 5x10 etc are all routines that have been used forever
        doing backoff sets with 50% is not something Wendler invented
        I don't hate the guy, but I think he just markets normal linear progression and stretches it out to a monthly progression to target more advanced lifters
        it works

    There's a template in the 5/3/1 Forever book that's 10x5 deadlifts after 5/3/1 deadlifts. Wendler is a retard but even he doesn't do 5/3/1

      IDK if i look amazing but i'm happy with the results i'm getting from 531
      i do the basic program with 2-3 accessories per workout
      OHP 95kg
      Bench 140kg
      Squat 180kg
      Deadlift 250kg

    I've unironically done 5X10 deadlifts.
    Obviously, these are done quite light.
    They'll fuck you up good, though. Throw them in towards the end of your training cycle.

    Also, I'm not a powertard. Just bodybuild as a hobby.
