5am workout

Does anyone else wake up at 5am to workout? Has becoming a morning person been worth it? What time do you go to bed?

I do sometimes but I work in week-long shift rotations of 8am-4pm, 12am-8am, 4pm-12am so I usually go around 11am unless I'm on my day shifts. It's hard to be any sort of person with that sleep schedule but the 5am trip is worth because the gym is absolute misery from 4pm-7pm

I get up at 5 and lift at 5:30, its fine but I do feel DL isn't as good early in the morning. I try to crash out at 9 but usually end up asleep at 10.

    Swim laps for 90 minute
    Slam a preworkout
Go to weightroom for an hour

Optimal time to lift is between 5pm to 7pm. Thats when you're strongest during the day. Your circadian rhythm is really important don't take it for granted.

Wake up at 5, eat banana and shake, gym at 5:30. Really sucks but it’s the only time I can lift.

    My sleep schedule is fricked.
I've started sleeping on the floor, and now I sleep for about 1-3 hours at a time, 2-3 times per day. All the days are kind of melding together, but the good thing is that I can arrange to go to the gym at whatever time I like, so I'll often go at 4:30. The bad thing is that I feel weirdly tired all the time.

I sleep 10 hour straight on the floor, but I lay on top of a fluffy blanket. You should look into tranditional Japanese futons. It's the best balance between back health and sleep

I went at 6am recently to try it and it was genuinely 70% full of bald ugly men. I could only assume they thought that was the key to being successful

yeah, gym opens at 6:30 so I get up at 6. Drink huel. I work at 8:30 so I leave the gym at 8, go home (3 min drive) shower, go to work and have breakfast there. It's much better than the evening because: it always has the same 8 or so people who are there to train. There's no music. No wait time for equipment, and it's just done and out of the way. When I finish work I want to cook dinner and relax. Bet at 9:30.
It becomes habit after a while. Holidays tend to screw it up but you just force yourself back into it.

it's powdered oats, I'm not getting up even earlier to make breakfast or making it the night before. I'm pretty happy to spend the money. Yes I know it's goyslop and part of the israeli conspiracy to make me watch more porn, you don't need to tell me

you can buy oats in bags just like you buy protein powder and I'm sure it's a low cheaper. You can even get flavoured ones etc. Don't be dumb

              2.5pl8 for bench
              1.5pl8 for OHP
Only 2pl8 for squat at the moment due to leg injury fricking me up

Other days I usually do during the actual day due to WFH

And you can do that in the am no probs without having eaten much?
I tried to do a bench amrap at 110kgs and was expecting a fairly easy 10 and nearly killed myself getting to 8 when doing at 6am.

I mean not gonna lie I'm not exactly always at the top of my performance
Especially when I had dogshit sleep for whatever reason
It can be a bit hit or miss, but imo it's a good feeling to get it done early
                Can't explain it
Maybe the more you do it the better it gets

I never had any issues when lifting without eating beforehand. I would usually have some coffee or pre on way over, but even without I was chilling.

I only do this for leg day. Every Sunday I wreck my legs, come home and eat like 6 eggs and then chill for the day while my legs just hum with excitement.

Pretty much my daily schedule, I'm on vacation now, but I lift 3 days a week, and run on the other two. I've always been more of a morning person, so it's not a big thing to me. It's less busy and there's no traffic.

    >Does anyone else wake up at 5am to workout?
Rarely, when I have shit in the morning pre work I can't postpone.
    Usually I wake at 6.
    >Has becoming a morning person been worth it?
It's the only way for me to go to the gym regularly
    >What time do you go to bed?
I try to go by 12 pm but I usually go to sleep at 1 or even 2 am.

I just built a home gym. When I work from home my schedule is:
    >wake up 8am
    >fasted cardio
    >shower/brush teeth/get dressed
    >start work 9am and eat breakfast while working
    >lift 11am-12:30pm
    >quick lunch 12:30pm-1pm
    >work to 4:30-5pm
Free the rest of the day
I work in office 2 days a week and I take those as my rest days.
