    >you don't understand, I NEED to buy the Stairmaster Pro 3000 (TM) with warmed handles, variable speed, high resolution touch screen, RGB lighting, surround audio system and pulsating steps for perfect natural emulation, or I SIMPLY WON'T BE ABLE TO LOSE WEIGHT!
    >wdym eat less, go outside and walk on regular stairs or up a hill, that's boring and difficult, frick that
Yes, go buy your expensive toy, I'm sure you won't only use it once, then let it rot in a corner for 5 years and then chuck it in the bin, all while you focus on another, even more expensive toy that you won't use either, even though it's "absolutely the thing standing between you and fitness". You definitely won't get even fatter in the meantime.

you have the whole earth and all it's wonderful hills to walk but you still sit on your ass. what makes you think you will somehow find the drive to walk on a machine? just get outside and stop making it so complicated.

I need an incline for intensity, to burn through the body fat. I love how you all seem to think everyone has stairs in their home, or lives near hills.

You could literally just walk across the flat ground a little faster

Your 5k miracle cure needs a 10-12 ceiling height
Imagine how many k *that* costs

You could achieve the same intensity and more by walking on flat ground while wearing a 30 lb backpack. And all you would need in order to do that is a backpack (which you certainly already own) and a 30 lb bag of dirt. You don't even have to buy the dirt, you can just dig it yourself, let it dry and then put it in a bag.
But you won't. Because what you actually want is a £5k reason to stall and not do any effort.

            >You're being ridiculous
And you're being moronic. Imagine thinking that you need to burn 5000 pounds from your wallet just to burn 20 pounds from your gut. Fricking ludicrous.
            >Like you would ever do that.
Correct. I would never do that because I actually have interesting shit to do while training. Therefore, instead of 30 lbs of dirt, it's 32 lbs of mountain gear and supplies, and instead of walking randomly on flat ground, I go on hikes and walk 10-15 miles on rough terrain.
You complained that you have no hills, so I suggested walking on flat ground.
You complained that training is just so expensive, so I suggested using dirt as weight, which costs zero dollars. You also probably don't do anything interesting, therefore there's no point in buying mountain gear just to haul it on your back, especially when dirt is so much cheaper.

The point is that if there's a will, there's a way. You're just pretending that a lack of will is actually a lack of money.

check Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, etc. to see if you can get used ones. When commercial gyms get new machines, they often sell the old ones so you can either buy from them, or they sell to a third-party and you buy from them. Either way it can often be a great deal.

            >just dig it yourself
oh yeah? And where is he supposed to get the money to buy a shovel?

Yea, you're right, the shovel market is booming right now, shit's expensive lmao

But CICO means you can burn calories too. If I eat 2000 calories and burn 1000 through exercise and 2000 from TDEE, I am in a deficit that will burn nearly 1lb each day.

You seriously underestimate how efficient the human body is when it comes to energy consumption.
Unless you are an athlete, 1000 kcal worth of energy expenditure = so exhausted at the end of the day that your hands get shaky and you walk like an old man.

            Ok then.
30 lbs of shit on your back. Make sure that you have a big bottle of water and a roll of duct tape with you.
Walk forward in a straight line, away from your home. Maintain a speed of around 6 km/h.
When your legs will feel like rubber, your feet will hurt and you will feel like you can't take another step, you have reached the halfway point. You turn around and you walk back home.
I suggest that you take a hot shower and have a rest day after each session.
