      I'm at 6.5 years lifting.
Right pic is me today. Left pic is exactly 3 months ago.

My cut is over (for now). Hooray!!
Now i finally look exactly the same as at the end of my first cut 4 years ago. With Marginally better lifts (probably).

How not to fall for it?

      >didn't cut hard enough
I would genuinely be 65kg if I cut that hard
I can't even stomach being 65kg as a man so I never will

I'd unironically rather be built fat forever than be 65kg as a male who lifts weights
The fact that there are men out there near triple my weight and yet don't look obese is insane to me

      Based. Dont be victimweight.

OP here, I am genuinely somewhat strong (benched 3plates at my peak bulk of 80kg) but there you have why I still have shit genetics
My peak bulk at 5'9 was 82kg after 6 years of lifting
I cannot put on weight because of my proportions
I have a short torso and fat is barely distributed aside from to my fricking stomach
And then to add onto that, I have shitty fascia bands on my abs which means I can never have defined abs

Whoa nice! I only ever got to 120kg bench (at 92kg bodyweight), but that's good enough for me.
I did 1-2-3-4 for 5 reps each (except DL) and i think I can finally "let go" of chasing strength PRs. ... well except 80KG OHP. I still want to do that, but I won't bulk for it.
Otherwise I'll stick to hypertrophy work, focus on arms and finally pick up a martial art.

You need to stop worrying about strength and focus on hypertrophy training. IST is an idiot/troll/DYEL who dont even lift echochamber who thinks its all about how strong you are. Lighten the weight and burn those babies out if you want to look good.

Strength is also a coping mechanism.
You can never look as good as a roider, so you focus on KGs lifted. You doubt whether you can ever achieve a certain physique, but you don't doubt that you can squat 3pl8 as long as you work hard enough, long enough.

The problem is I'm only strong when I'm fat and I don't want to be fat 🙁
So... I got to do MMA or boxing or some shit.

You quite literally have to cut and bulk after your first year or 2.
You don’t want to be that guy who busts his ass in the gym and only gains 1-pounds a year of muscle. The problem is people eat too much when they bulk, and put on too much fat. And they eat to little on a cut, and lose too much muscle.
Just because you don’t have the ability to be held accountable, doesn’t mean everyone is such a failure of a human being

I don't think this "bulking is le bad" mindset originated from IST. It started on looksmaxxing forums, moved from there to tiktok, and then eventually found it's way here.

Lately I've been doing chest+tricep, back+bicep, legs, shoulders but I don't really have a fixed routine
Just go to the gym and pull some heavy ass weights

As for the lifts, I don't do overhead press or deadlifts and I don't really try to do 1MR
        On the bench I usually do 12x100kg 10x105kg 8x110kg
        On the squat I do 16x100kg 14x110 12x120 10x130 8x140

We are all different. We all know or have seen a guy who never works out apart of playing volleyball twice a week or someshit like that, and looks big andd ripped.
Some of us are not created to make it in zyzz way.
I grinded for a while 4 to 6 days a week in gym, autistically tracking shit, consooming tons of supplements that are not necesarry.
I had quite a few burn outs.
But recently i began thinking about fragility of life and the limited time we have on this earth.
I stopped min maxxing shit, that doesnt bring me happiness. I like working out but not everyday, not autistically tracking everything, just intuitively and in a way that brings me joy. I hate running why should I do it, Id rather ride a bike and get some cardio in like that. i hate gym culture its fricking moronic, id rather go terrify/amuse kids at a playground doing dips and pullups, or do some curls at home.
Fitness is not the end goal, similarly how eating food is also not the end goal, its one of things you should do to have a decent life. If you roid up and become ripped, you wont become happy fren. Tons of morons roid for happiness now, girls wont even notice you, cuz social media is full of tards like that and every bar and club also, you cant copy zyzz, everyone else already did.

I personally think EVERYBODY who is lean looks good, obviously more muscles = better aesthetics, but to me even skinny lean people have a certain appeal to them.

Fat is the enemy of aesthetics imo, even if you're strong, you look like shit with a gut, or a chubby neck, or whatever. Start cutting OP. You are probably stopping at 15% bf thinking you are "done" with your cut. Keep going.

Even being skinnyfat makes ANYONE look subhuman

Being lean is the biggest halo aside from major surgery u can do

I'm gonna drop a little knowledge for you anons. 1. Stop doing strength training, it's shit for looking good and no one cares what you lift. 2. Your diet is probably shit. Litteratly just double up your protien shakes for a month and see if you don't notice a difference. 3. Everyone has different genetics and getting hung up that you don't look like a roider when natty is moronic

Take a picture of yourself regardless of how you look. When I was at the peak of my fitness I was too embarrassed because I still had a little fat around my waist. Then I got struck by health issues and will never reach that level again. I missed the opportunity to take pictures because of my low self-esteem and now the chance is gone forever.
