      Why and how

You're skinnyfat. Good frame but your chest musculature is underdeveloped. Drop 10-15kg and you'll see what you need to work on.

Why are normalfags so bad at telling fat apart from muscle? Everyone has the same muscles in the same places, they only vary in size. If you look weird and undefined it's because your fat is covering shit up.

    >decent strength and athleticism
strength is correlated to physique but not the cause. if you want to look a certain way then you have to train for that. following powerlifting routines and lifting in the 3-5 rep range wont get you a puffy chest.

what do you consider 'decent strength' anyway? you have no chest, no lats, no abs. it looks like all you do is arms and shoulders. get your shit together you fucking idiot

Okay, so what gives a puffy chest? no roids

Its pretty simple. Slow eccentric bench with a pause, explode up. Anywhere from 8-20 reps, but ideally 8-12 rep range. Do that and mix in some incline bench and tricep work. 6 months with a slow consistent bulk and you will see a significant change.

You’re nowhere close to needing roids, don’t flatter yourself

How about this? I actually enjoy this a lot but have no idea if actually works the pecs like this suggests. I assumed it was shoulder only

Im just curious, why lifting heavy wont give you a puffy chest? Im benching 315 and I have a decently puffy chest

Too fat. Too week. Just lift more, heavy weight. Increase protein. Keep going for months.

what is the best chest+core lifts to focus on?

        Anonymous

        Hanging leg raises for core
        Regular bench press for chest

You might even consider completely dropping your arm and shoulder exercises because your muscle balance is absolutely fucked

I'm 6'1 178lb. You're simply still too fat. You need to lose more bodyfat than you think you do. Having a flat stomach isn't enough to look good

How much weight do i need to lose, 6' 230lb. Reckon i would get reasonably lean at 200

lower ur bodyfat, ur fat distribution makes u look leaner than you are at the shoulder level, which is great.

Usually people who think too highly of themselves will fail in the pursuit of gains. I know so many
    >"My legs are like tree trunks! I bet I'd be good at squatting!"
    >"I'm naturally very strong"
    >"I have really good genetics for bodybuilding"
    >"Is X amount of weight lifted good for a beginner???"

Just accept the fact that you are a beginner and you will look like shit and you will lift like shit. SOME people might be really good at something in the beginning, but it's very rare.
Train a few years and come back with these questions when you bench 300 and squat 400
