      Planks are more of a core building exercises if you want big blocky abs you need to do abdominal exercises like leg raises, crunches, ab roller.

      You should still do planks. But weighted planks won't necessarily give you well defined abs

        Yeah it's sad to see people who have made lifting their entire personality. Lifting is just a hobby. A lot of people who lift aren't even making money off it, so really it's just a time/money sink.

        That's why ottermode is peak lifestyle. Requires just enough effort to achieve ans maintain while still letting you live your life outside the gym

            I didn't say it's easy. I said it's achievable to be and maintain ottermode. It takes a 2 to 3 years of good working out to achieve but once you get there you can stay there indefinitely without your whole life revolving around being in the gym

      Best is lift the most you possibly can for 3 sets of 10 reps. If you're barely doing 5, too much weight. If you can do 10-20 easily, not enough weight

      Goggins is just making shit up about that to avoid people realizing he got loose skin surgery. He also claims he stopped eating any protein while doing that cuz somehow protein will create loose skin. It's all just bs and distractions

      gymnasts have this look. I'd buy rings and exercise on them at home daily, that will get you there quicker than a barbell and rack.
      And calisthenics is self regulating in terms of fat and muscle. You can't be too heavy or your performance decreases, so building lean tissue goes quick.

      leg development makes cutting infinitely easier because having muscle is very metabolic and the legs are the biggest muscles in the body

    Can someone tell me if im losing weight too quickly and if it matters?

    6ft tall. Started at 202 probably 18-20% bf.

    Eating 1200-1500 cals a day. Relatively sedentary besides lifting and walking a few kms a day.

      You have lost 9lbs in 4 weeks. That is a little over 2 lbs a week. That isn't too quick, that is a normal pace.

      Wrong, wrong, and wrong. You need barbells for traps and dumbbells for proper isolation work. Dips are a great movement but half the time the pec develops with almost zero upper pec and it looks strange. There’s no reason to limit yourself.

        Sure, you can use barbells and dumbbells, I'm not saying the opposite - I even agree. Of course more tools is not bad, but think of the mindset here.
        The OP claims he wants ottermode because it's easy to maintain and not too much work - a minimalist mindset. I like the maximalist mindset, I have it too - use every tool at your disposal to get as much muscle as possible. But that's not the OP's goals, he just wants a nice, normie friendly body that they consider athletic or aesthetic.
        I'm saying, why use maximalist methods if you want minimalist results? Why sign up to a gym, learn how to squat if you'd be satisfied with toned, 20" legs? Why pay hundreds of dollars a year when a one time purchase (olympic rings) can cover 80 to 90% of your development, in the comfort of your home, whenever you want?
        To me that makes the most sense. Calisthenics athletes get jacked quickly and build good physiques off their sport. Why not take a page out of their book if the minimalist approach is sufficient?

    Here’s the part about otter mode jo body seems to realize:
    Neck still needs to be big.
    One thing you’ll notice when women (I know, they’re stupid and don’t know what they want) stays consistent when they pick which body type they’re most attracted to is the neck. They’ll pick jacked over an ottermodr who has a pencil neck. But they’ll pick ottermode with thick/proportionate neck over anything else usually.

    So train neck. Otter mode+ neck is literally all it takes and the best physique of your goal is getting pussy. Just be lean, have definition everywhere, and train neck.

    Instead of bulk/cut cycles, just cleanbulk. You'll get to the same FFMI and size over time. Except you don't have to go on these moronic cycles with a clean bulk. You can diet so that your weight gain is mostly muscle. I would end it after this most recent cut and just clean bulk all the way if I were you.
