    Your question doesn't state if the person is fat or skinny fat at 20% BF. For me, a skinny fat mf, the answer is a body recomp. I've been eating 10% less calories per day than my TDEE. Despite only losing 5lbs, I've reduced my waist by 3".

            Idk what you mean by this, but please don't make the same mistake that I made in the past that kept me skinny fat for years. Literally bro, just calculate your TDEE and then eat 10% less than that per day. Lift at least 4 days a week doing the main lifts (squats, deadlifts, bench, etc.) You do not need cardio to get your BF% down.

                Oh also, I'm not a keto gay, but in the past I didn't monitor my carbs and I was eating like 300-350g carbs per day, even on a cut. This time, I'm keeping my carbs below 120g a day and it has reduced my bloat greatly, IMO.

        It's easier to lose weight and then build muscle then it is to do a cut while trying to gain muscle.
        Bulking won't help this lad. Especially if it's goal is to get abs.

        Also, you should never bulk unless you're powerlifting. Instead, you should eat slightly above your maintenance while lifting to get big. Bulking is just an excuse to overeat and indulge.

        I'll be completly honest, they're 13". But IDGAF, losing my gut is 1000% more important to me right now than an extra inch on my arms. Plus, I'm doing a RECOMP, so i'm still putting on muscle, even if it's at a slower rate than bulking.

      I'm 25% bf at 83kg. I started a 35 day fast which should get me down 7.7kg. So I'll go from 83kg to 75kg. I'll then eat for two or three weeks before doing it again. That should get me down to 70kg, at which point I'll just do ab rolls and a 5x8 split while eating very slightly above my TDEE.

    I went from obese to skinnyfat years ago and always hovered around skinnyfat in part from making gymcel mistakes like focusing excessively on arms and chest/shoulders while neglecting core. Now I'm focusing more on core and bodyweight exercises, mostly freeballing it with calories and cardio. Can I drop 10-15 lbs by summer this way and will that be enough?

    I don't. One shotting from 20% bf to visible abs is nearly impossible in ~4 months. It depends of course entirely on your body and if you are actually 20% or are you 22%, 24% and do you have visible abs at 13% or 12% or 10% theres way too many variables to take every single scenario into consideration so i have to generalize but going from 20% to 12% in roughly 4 months losing 2% bf every month without a single setback while maintaining lean muscle mass is nearly impossible. Is it theoretically possible? Yes but 99,9% of people who try it, fail their summer cut. Every single year.

    You can absolutely get leaner and get "morning abs" and a solid lean physique but dont expect ANYTHING close to your pic rel. You are 100% not in a million years reaching that from 20% this summer.

      I like doing the ab wheel slow negative and pause at the bottom. Then leg raises. I also like doing the oblique exercise where you lean over with a dumbbell and do a sort of side crunch back up. Anons say it's not aesthetic but I wanna be stable as frick.
