Boron boosts test, iodine helps restore thyroid health and can alleviate various hormonal issues. My under eye bags and face improved within a few days and my sleep is still pretty mediocre, and I also smoke. Lots of interesting reading on iodine and how basically everyone is deficient because we fluoride in water and toothpaste and stuff displaces iodine in your body. So no goiters, but your thyroid is not running at 100%. Most salts no longer have iodine and the “low salt diet” is honestly a dangerous meme similar to a low fat diet.

Like with basically all supps recommended on IST, youre only out $10-20 if you find it doesnt help. Always worth investigating. Prevailing theory is that modern soil conditions are trash and fruits/veggies have more calories but less nutrients than 50-100 years ago

Tastes like shit. Also I've never understood why "healthy" foods are trying to imitate good food. It's like when people make a tuna pasta or similar. It tastes like shit. Just skip the fries and/or sauces and you can literally eat what you want as long as you're active

      Exactly

I don't meme diet. I just avoid seed oils and make sure to hit and not exceed macro goals every day.

I just made shrimp fettuccine Alfredo from scratch the other day (a non-cheat day as well), and didn't exceed any of my macros. It tasted great. I didn't use low fat fake shit to make it.

The only things in your diet that should taste bland are supplements like whey protein.

So true brother. I've always believed in calories in/out but have really started to doubt it lately since I do 10-12 km of walking EVERY day and ever since I started eating clean my weight is dropping of quickly. Before I just did a 2-300cal breakfast and dinner and only ate a big lunch. I track calories and I'm the same now as before. My guess is that carbs really are what's keeping people from losing weight because that's the main difference between my new and old diet.

          Anonymous

Yeah, fast digesting carbs are a killer. I get to have a decent amount of carbs (330g) daily, and I try to eat those in rice and vegetables or grains as much as possible.

Sugary drinks are my kryptonite but I haven't had an issue with them since switching to lifting 5 days a week
