Advice thread

I've stopped working out it's been a few months and I need advice. What should I start out doing again? I used to do bench, squats, deadlifts and ohp and some accessories but I feel like I'm weak as hell now and don't know how to start back up again or how to approach it.

      Get back to your old routine, start with 50% of what you were doing and gradually work your way up. We all frick up anon, but it’s better to get back in sooner rather than later.

    Why’d you quit the first time. I personally think googling a beginner routine and picking one that looks like fun/you can stick to is the best approach.

      That's not a bad idea. I was doing decent numbers too 405 deadlift, 315 squat, 225 bench and 135 ohp, I may be able to do 50% might have to go a bit lower.

        Those are solid numbers, so definitely go back to what you were doing. If 50% seems like too much, do less. Most of your strength should return quickly (at least 75%). Then just learn the grind… You’ll be doing this all your life, sometimes you get busy and can’t hit the gym for a bit, so it’s important to know how to get back to it after a hiatus.

        Considering those are almost intermediate numbers, I’d go with whatever program looks fun, warm up and start out my working sets around an rpe7 (whatever weight that might be) And just progress from there.

        Also, educate yourself. Renaissance periodization’s youtube is a great source of info.

        Seems to be a common post-Covid symptom. I was tired for 2 months straight after I had it.

    just give up man why bother starting, quit for months, get bored and somehow have no idea how to start even tho you said you lifted before. I've seen females in Kazakhstan with better motivation and common sense

        same, because my bar is too close to the ground.But when i see pics they allways have them straight. Am i looking too much into it or is there a difference ?
