After having my waist rise from 33 inches to 34 inches I ate at 1300 calories per day for a few days and did not lose waist size or weight.

After having my waist rise from 33 inches to 34 inches I ate at 1300 calories per day for a few days and did not lose waist size or weight.
As it therefore stands, I believe the simple mistake was that once again without warning my BMR lowered to about 1300 calories daily. This would explain why one meal of 1500 calories caused the weight gain, and why it's become harder to lose it at what I thought was a deficit. It has happened before when my BMR suddenly lowered from 1700 calories to around 1600-1500 and just like now I was wondering why I was eating """so little""" but not losing weight.
Therefore I am asking for your help in making a diet for me at 1000 to 800 calories that has 170 or 160 g protein, some fat so I don't die from protein poisoning, and some fiber.

    anon what the frick.
cico is simple, if you do a cut, you do a cut and continue doing the cut until you hit your goal, not "for a fricking few days while I obsessively hit the scale 14 times a day" lmao. no matter how much fatties can cope, you dont have anything beat the second law of thermodynamics.
if you want to make it, stop trying to make work camp diets of 800 calories and die. just eat like a normal human being but just a bit less for about 200 calories, and you'll make it. its not about crash diets and reaping benefits., its about getting this mindset settled.
and if you're so obsessed about it, why not eat your 2000 calories and work out cardio instead? its a way faster and healtier way to cut if you got the balls for it, which you probably dont. "for a few days" holy kek.

      >cico is simple, if you do a cut, you do a cut and continue doing the cut until you hit your goal, not "for a fricking few days while I obsessively hit the scale 14 times a day
I've been doing this 3 months. Lost 24lbs.
No abs just a 34 inch waist.
      >if you want to make it, stop trying to make work camp diets of 800 calories and die. just eat like a normal human being but just a bit less for about 200 calories, and you'll make it. its not about crash diets and reaping benefits., its about getting this mindset settled.
I started at 1700 cal, guess what, my bmr lowered and went down to 1600-1500, an inbofy and dexa scan both told me this.
      >and if you're so obsessed about it, why not eat your 2000 calories and work out cardio instead? its a way faster and healtier way to cut if you got the balls for it, which you probably dont. "for a few days" holy kek.
I am doing cardio even on off days.
Guess what it still leaves me at maintenance.
I know you must think I'm lying or some shit but I swear I'm not God really is just giving me his toughest battles to push through.

Im not saying you're lying but you yourself realise what you say is impossible, right? its so much impossible that all thats is left to figure which part you're screwing up badly without realising. look, for example 1 hour of bike is worth about 700 cals. I know I dont want to be bothered weighting food and restricting food so I literally lost 8kg on an about 3000cal daily diet because I was doing 12 hours of bike and 3x lifts in a week and I knew it would work due cico. and it did.
you're doing a massive cut, and doing non stop cardio and not loosing weight? yep, either you figured how to hybernate or you just gotta figure where the mistake is and I can assure you it's not the laws of physics. my bet is on wrong calorie counting from food. any possibility that you can get pro help for counting your calories from food? perhaps pay a dietetician, literally.

I only burn about 209 calories a day at best from cardio, I'm certainly not doing bicycling at 2 hours a day, so I think you should probably note that CICO is totally true, the problem is I got the shit end of the stick whether I like it or not, my BMR is low, my calories burned are not enough and ultimately I'm just going to have to cope with the hand I've been dealt because I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO SPEND ON A BIKE.

Hold up. 209 calories from cardio? Are you only doing light cardio for a short time? My 5k jog with warm up and cool down is giving me something like 600 calories burned in less than an hour.

Anon you've got to be fricking up your diet somehow. I know it's frustrating but try high balling your food and low balling your work outs. See if it changes.

Most important don't starve yourself. Aim for 11-12 cal * bodyweight lbs

              >Hold up. 209 calories from cardio? Are you only doing light cardio for a short time?
Yeah. I don't exactly jog for an hour or bike for 2.
              >Aim for 11-12 cal * bodyweight lbs
I honestly doubt even when exercising I burn that much.
              >try high balling your food and low balling your work outs. See if it changes.
              Elaborate.

Maybe you should try them anon. Diet helps but moving more helps too.

Just existing you'll burn that much.

If you're unsure if it's 1/4 or 1/3 a cup of rice assume it's 1/3, if you're running to the end of your street and it's .7k say it's .5 instead of .75

No my brother, I have a food scale, I am certain it's not measuring calories that's the problem, it's just straight up bmr or something else, fit is quick to jump to it being about not counting right but I lost 50 lbs last year then continued with 20 lbs later in these 3 months, it's literally not the calorie counting because I know both from my results in the past and now that I'm not doing it wrong.

Funny quite a few people said at my height I should be at at least seeing some ab definition at that waist size, then again Steve Reeves had a 30 inch waist so I really wouldn't know. It wouldn't surprise me if I had to get to a 28 inch waist in order to get abs.
Regardless, this thread isn't me complaining about not having abs, it's me complaining about not making progress towards them.

Alright anyway the best diet plan I came up with now is 7 servings of turkey meat, liver, and lean beef up to 700 calories, and one meal of pumpkin seeds for fiber.

But just for experiment purposes I will try to burn more calories and eat at maintenance to see if it changes anything. I doubt it will though since I'll burn 30 calories extra at most.

You probably went from fatty to less-fatty in those 3 months, right? 24 lbs in 3 months is 2 lbs per week, there is no way you need to eat 800 calories a day if you were cutting that fast at 1700 calories.
As anon above said, you can not beat CICO, BMR does not wildly adjust like that for no reason, you're either counting calories wrong or overestimating calories burned.

I'm not mate meals I ate before weighed exactly to the same t suddenly started causing weight gain until I lowered and lowered the portions. Again both a dexascan and inbody scan confirmed it. It is a fact.

Yeah but I guess gaining it fricking does then innit?

Not exactly, gaining fat requires sustained caloric surplus. If you're starting from fasted/weight loss, you gotta eat past your glycogen stores, water weight, etc. before you start gaining fat.
I mean yeah the potentials are that you can eat an absurdly high amount of calories when gaining weight, versus eating no calories when losing weight. But generally speaking, shit doesn't go down in just a few days.

Just ate at "maintenance" but this time it's mostly protein. We shall see what the effect is tomorrow.

this Black person is too stupid to make it. you want it for sure? eat at your BMR. use a pedometer to track steps. walk 400-500 calories off. The reality is though, statistically, 1) you can't count for shit. that's why your off. and 2) not enough time. do what i said for 3 months. be accurate.

      Anonymous

Nope. I weigh my food, count my calories, do all I can, and when I lower it further after I suspect my BMR falls it usually works, which I will have to do soon if by tomorrow it's confirmed that calories and not macros are the problem.

CICO gays conveniently ignore hormones, homeostasis and BMR reduction. Try adding in a few fasts.

I have been fasting regularly, will probably start again soon I just wanna figure out if my bmr is good here or not because a refeed has the chance to frick things up easily.

ridiculous. How and why people are entering or leaving the room, doesn't change the fact that there are less or more people in the room now vs before. ya digg? how & why? who fricking cares, are they in or out? the human body is an open thermodynamic system and functions as such. CICO is law and you are a fricking dumb c**t.

    >a few days
Your BMR cannot suddenly go to 1300. It's physically impossible, chemical reactions require a minimum amount of energy.

      Anonymous

I don't know what to tell you beyond there's a chance it likely didn't, I'm not sure how many calories I was eating after a long fast the days before then all I know is one day after I ate a 1500 calorie meal I always eat and suddenly problems started with my waist line, I don't recall if any signs began the last time this happened with my bmr jumping down from 1700 to 1500, but I do believe the same thing happened, I ate a 1700 calorie meal I always do, and wondered why I gained waist size, eventually I got a dexa scan, and it was confirmed my BMR went down to at least 1600 then and I was forced to shorten all my meals to only 1500 calories maximum.
Now let's take what you said as true, then I'll have to see a gastroenterologist or endocrinologist and get x rays and blood tests done to see if I have a thyroid problem or something although now that I know it isn't diet that causes it to go up, I do believe the most reasonable assumption is such that my bmr simply lowered again and I did not notice. I know you said it cannot go suddenly, but for all I can tell, it might not have, I just didn't fricking notice until it was too late and I gained an inch of fat on my stomach, which saddens me but hey what can you do, you nip the problem in the bud that's holding you back and continue, I just need to identify it first, if I wake up and find my waist hasn't lowered, it's a calorie problem with my bmr, or worse, not a macro problem, simple. And if it doesn't lower after a week of eating at projected new deficit levels, I need to consult a doctor because something is clearly wrong with me.

Oh to add onto this before anyone says
        >You could have eaten more than you thought if you didn't bother calculating those days moron, it wasn't the 1500 calorie meal that caused you to gain weight, it was the food you ate before then
Obviously I'm not moronic, I made sure to eat little on all of them and count, the problem is I didn't keep a food log during those days but I am fairly certain I kept most of those meals to under deficit, the only problem was one time I had pizza from this place in
        >NYC
Called Lil Frankies and apparently no one ever reported them to the FDA for not listing calories online.
But even if your argument here is that day alone could have caused it because for all I know that slice of pizza was 2k cal, you're contradicting yourselves as you're the same people telling me basal metabolic rate can't go down over a day, but also telling me you can't get fat with just one poorly calculated unintentional cheat day.
