After what age does lifting become a bit cringe? I would say after 35.

After what age does lifting become a bit cringe? I would say after 35. It becomes a bit of a "yikes" moment when I see a big buff guy who looks over that age. You generally never see a wedding ring and know the guy doesn't have a family. It is respectable to stay in shape past that age however, cardio and weights to maintain a good phsique. Gymceling past a certain point is just "yikes" though.

There's a few guys I see in the gym who're probably like 50, I see them a lot, and I can't help but suspect they don't have a lot going on in their lives RE career & family. Then again I could be totally mistaken.

Its more like seeing the gym as your living room. Kick the shoes off, turn up the TV volume, chat for a few minutes, casually go get some water, maybe stretch alongside the wall. Scratch my balls. Shit like that. No way I'm going back to any other way evwn if I t s a waste of a half hour or some shit.

Marriage is the ultimate gay psyop created by women to get at a man's wallet.

That's why you marry a woman who makes as much as you do

Lolno, this creates competition in the home; there was a study done where a woman making more than a man in a relationship actually increases the likelihood of the man cheating.

I think it's probably ideal if she makes about as much as you do. As long as you're not a pushover and you're still a man it's okay.

more likely that you're just riddled with insecurities and project them onto women rather than dealing with them yourself

It is a widely studied phenomenon. Women want to feel like they need a man for providing, protecting, guiding her. When an aspect where she wants him to be superior so her anxieties can stop because she trusts him to handle things that worry her gets subverted, like her earning more than him, it sends her reeling, worrying about whether she'll be able to maintain the income for their future. Because of the anti-halo effect, it affects her view of his ability to guide her, protect her, etc. And so she begins looking to swing to another branch of the hypergamy tree. As for the idea that men in this situation are more likely to cheat, I imagine that some of that is men who understand this aspect of female nature and are trying to set up a soft landing / excuse for her to dump him so they don't draw out an unhappy relationship. Not even most of the cases have to be that way, but I bet some of them are.

Speaking as someone who hasn't lifted in 2 years. I'm 33 now. This is cope. I stopped lifting because between a job and getting a Doctorate I don't have the energy. But i intend to start lifting again when I'm able too. Lifting to maintain a good physique is not cringe at all.

Now either you an hero by the time you're 35 (likely if you're a male) or you accept that your life is going to consist of you needing to do things like lifting into your 50's and 60's if you want to avoid your genetic abomination path of using a wheelchair, walking frame or walking aid before your 40 unable to carry some shopping in a basket without your elbow, shoulder or wrist slipping out of place.

Now stop being upset you're getting mogged by some old man in the gym.
