Assuming you're going to drink twice a week any way, what's the safest way to do it?
I take Holy Basil before and after to protect the liver + fast to decrease my tolerance.
I also switched from beer to homemade red wine so it's less calories, plus less tasty.
What else can I do to minimize the harm of alcohol? No teetotalers welcome.
what are you scared of
Alcohol has a range of negative side effects including loss of brain cells, increased risk of cancer, liver diseases.
AI post.
I write and edit articles for an online magazine. AI was trained on me.
Idk I drink every night. Two nights a week isn’t going to hurt you pussy.
I've read about milk thistle promoting liver health and function. Some believe it is a hangover cure.
Never tried it myself. Any anons have experience with it?
Black person just don’t drink if you’re this troubled about making your drink taste worse on purpose and taking supplements just to drink twice a week.
I am not troubled, I just enjoy trying to optimize everything in my life. But I have to have two nights a week to just get drunk and watch movies, that's my vice.
MY BAD
I'm op. What I take before/after drinking is actually Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) Got confused because I have so many supplements including several thistles and they're in my local european language.
No big deal anon, we forgive you.
What's your verdict? Do you feel like it helps?
To be 100% honest I never feel any effects of much of anything. Never got into cannabis because it didn't do anything. Sleep meds never worked. Tried powerful antidepressants once, no effect Switched from trash diet to super optimized diet and became skinny, still feel the same as always. But I do believe milk thistle helps protect the liver from the sheer amount of online information about it.
As I already said, fasting, switching from beer to wine, and milk thistle are three ways to OPTIMIZE drinking. I'm wondering if there are more ways.
There's nothing you can do moron. It will diminish gains and kill you a bit faster and lower your test. There's no getting around this.
Magic anti-hangover elixer
drink 1x a week. cuts the risk down to half. unironically.
>Twice a week
Are you having a single drink those nights, or getting fricked up?
>No teetotalers
Getting drunk twice a week doesn't sound very IST, unless you're roiding, which if you're already worried about alcohols effects, you should look in to what you're taking.
>What else can I do to minimize the harm of alcohol?
2g of N-Acetyl L-Cysteine + a Milk Thistle tablet before you start drinking
1g of potassium chloride, 2g of sodium chloride + 300mg magnesium after you finished drinking but before you go to sleep
>Alcoholism leads to decrease in endogenous antioxidant potential. Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) patients show low endogenous antioxidants. Chronic ethanol consumption cause selective deficiency in the availability of reduced glutathione (GSH) in mitochondria has been reported. This is due to impaired functioning of GSH transporter from cytosol to mitochondrial matrix. The effect on glutathione replenishing potential by N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) can be used to reduce oxidative stress, which also has excellent safety profile.
Eat these fruits
Activated charcoal before drinking
Even the slightest bit of drinking makes you a brainlet, it isn't worth it.
>an average of only one to two daily alcohol units
That's pretty moronic because the effects of alcohol are dose-dependant and strongly affected by concentration. "An average of one to two daily alcohol units" could be drinking 14 units once a week or >30 units once a month.
You don't have to be a science doctor to figure out that drinking 7 pints of beer once a week is going to do more damage to your body than drinking 1 pint of beer every night.
The problem in this case would be, that the daily drinking never ever will stay at one pint. Suddenly you drink 4 or more per day and can't recall the last time you were sober longer than 3 days. That's way more problematic than drinking 7 once a week.
Just don't drink
quit drinking loser
>drinks lot of water
>eats lot of food, especially cheese
That's it. Y'all Black folk think alchool is the end of the world but just drink like a regular educated person and nothing will happend, not even hangovers.
Any alcohol is bad. The alcohol industry has spent millions of dollars muddying the waters around scientific literature and alcohol. If you want to drink twice a week that's fine but know there's no getting around the negative health and fitness consequences.
>drink twice a week any way,
It entirely depends on how much you're drinking
If you're getting blackout drunk, it will steal your gains and no gay herbs will help you
If you're having 4 - 6 pints of beer, the only thing you need to worry about is the calories. It might be harder to get a good, long sleep too, but I don't see that having a massive effect
