all my friends were out of town or busy with some shit so I didnt drink for 15 days straight and only had two glasses of wine two saturdays ago, and didnt drink for 7 days before that too
so I am 21-ish days sober, 15 days sober without any -ish'es, first time this happened since 2013 or so
there are immediate benefits of course but I don't see a reason to commit myself to being sober, having a glass of wine or 3 on a cosy saturday is something I would not want to skip
I will however heavily avoid drinking on weekdays from this point forward
What are the alleged benefits?
t. never made it past 7 days since high school
Welcome to adulthood moderate drinker!
You write like an alcoholic
Why can’t you guys just drink a cold beer when going out for food at a restaurant like once a month and not have your brain revolve around alcohol
its a thread about alcohol consumption you tard.
>but I don't see a reason to commit myself to being sober
How about avoiding brain damage and nuking your liver, kidneys and CNS?
By all means, have a few beers when you’re out with mates once or twice a month, but there is nothing good about excessive drinking. If you cant go without it for extended periods then you are no better than other drug addicts. Legality does not mean it’s good for you
>having a glass of wine or 3 on a cosy saturday is something I would not want to skip
>t. disgusting stinking hippie smoking tge HeALinG herb
I dont use it, but it's still better than alcohol. Weed turns you into a moron. Alcohol both turns you into a moron, wrecks your body and lures you into addiction to the point where the withdrawal symptoms can kill you. Not even heroin withdrawals can do that
>Benzos that low
That analysis is shit
Benzos aren't low. Crack, meth, heroin and alcohol are just very high
It's Britain not the US
Because benzos itself are not possible to overdose on. The danger really is only what you are doing while blacked out on them that could potentially kill you (drinking or using other downers).
>meth
>no harm to others
frick off britian. death to all tweakers
>most of the harm is just "to others"
why is this my problem?
seeing someone like you fricking count and calculate how many days they went without alcohol like they are starving to death is the best argument against alcohol

You just described alcoholism OP
How to people get to this state? I love beer, but I regularly go weeks/months without because I don't feel line having one. Why would someone count how many days it is since they last drank?
It's an addictive substance and some people are more prone to addiction. People underestimate how dangerous it can be because they think it being legal means it can't be that bad
Day of 22 of being sober. I love the way beer tastes and haven been having some N/A beer, seltzer and hop tea. Honestly, it's been nice.
I am a heavy drinker. Probably a problem drinker. I don't often drink weekdays, but on weekends, I drink heavy. I was drinking heavily everyday during holiday break. Feeling sick, tired, gaining weight. I don't know why I do it.
I'm not sure I can drink in moderation. After one, it's hard to stop. I'm going to try moderation in February. If I can't do it, I think I'm going to have to rethink things. Everyone is different. There are no benefits to your health, but if you can handle moderation, it's fine every now and then.
>all these morons calling OP an alcoholic
>when they don't even drink alone
Americans are so weird about light booze. Maybe even weirder than they are about nudity and strict 18/21 enforcement
I got shit faced last night in my room and shit the bed.
I only drink once a week so it;s all good.
Ive been an alcoholic for 10 years now. Yesterday I drank a littre of hard liquor. There are no benefits to alcohol consumption. Im just awaiting death now.
Dean?
nah
It's you Dean! You mad bastard. Look at my picture on your screen as you give me the thumbs up!
Alcohol is poison.
Just drink water.
Stay clear from soda and any types of juices (which are usually filled with sugar).
One of the reasons I stopped drinking is because after one sip of beer I’m like “Saca La Bolsita”.
>22 days sober going strong
>I will however heavily avoid drinking on weekdays from this point forward
Based. Any bit of alcohol cut out is a huge win for your health and fitness.
Never forget IST. Alcohol is not fit. It literally feminizes you.

nice work OP, personally I realized that I should cut back on drinking when I started feeling it in my exercise. I can usually have 4-5 pints in the evening and still be functional at work tomorrow morning, but as soon as I start working out I can feel the difference. So most of the evenings now I have 2 pints, 3 at the most if the banter is really good with my mates and we stay an hour longer at the pub
