I think we're very evidently at an exit point with the whole 5x3 heckin deadlift and squat meme
Online fitness is still young so it was bound to happen
What's wrong with that?
Doing ONLY that would be dumb.
thats what you got when you are natty and doing a program dedicated for roiders
He's not even doing the roider program.
Bulgarians would max out on back squat, snatch, clean and jerk, twice a day, alternating back and front squats.
Anyone who has done Olympic lifts, even poorly, for 60-90 minutes knows how much they wreck your legs.
They were actually doing a lot of submaximal squat volume AND already had a tremendous strength base.
Agreed it's good to see a lot of people embrace leaving the snapcity deadlift meme. You still have some new people being funneled into SS or rippletits philosophy but they'll eventually come to the same conclusion.
i listened to the vid for about 15 minutes and basically he's just saying he needs money and since he isn't making it from youtube he needs to spend more time doing paid work so he can take better care of his wife and children
idk anything about this guy or give a shit about him but seems like the right thing to do, he has my respect
You can tell the people who post these threads are DYEL and insecure about it because they haven't been lifting for long enough to catch the rush of strength gains.
Just about anyone who lifts for a considerable length of time at some point gives strength training a shot.
i've been lifting on and off since 2005 (more on than off) and i've never cared about strength training, but the strength has always increased slowly and continues to increase even now, and i've never been injured with the exception of some minor shoulder and lower back pain which quickly resolved after working around it for a couple weeks
and before you say some dumb shit, definitely not dyel
currently on a cut, 210 lbs relatively lean (abs very visible), 6'2"
nothing in this thread is about what the video is about. No link, no nothing. just 18 fucking retards talking about a headline in which they haven't even seen the fucking video. And every fucking thread on IST is turning in to a fucking discussion about a headline while nobody even knows what the fuck they talking about anymore. You are fucking garbage
I squat 6x a week and have a near 4x bodyweight squat (272.5kg @ 74kg) the issue is if you run a program like this you need to deload fairly aggressively every fourth week. this guy's issue is that his training has no direction, it's just a logjam of useless fluff volume with light weight that isn't really making him any stronger or providing meaningful progressive overload. I understand why he does it for the sake of the content at this point, but c'mon buddy, get a coach and invest meaningfully in your training.
not really worth doxxing myself on IST (and others, considering heavy squats have 2-3 spotters, which is what you do in a real powerlifting gym). ive hit 272.5 raw and 290kg in knee wraps and have national records in both in my country lol. whether or not someone random on IST believes me is wholly irrelevant to me
Why are doctors such gays who will do anything to stop both themselves and others from getting visible gains
fpbp

he needs to get on TRT
Yup. Too old and probsbly poor responder genetics.

I'm glad people like him exist to empirically prove to us exactly how not to train.
what happened?

Did he lose his job? Why do they need “more money”?
Elloh Yuchub was right
What happened to him?
This guy isn't physically fit enough to wear a tanktop.
"everyday" is an adjective; he means "every day".
THANK YOU
we have to maintain standards on this board
