Am i retarded for prefering the trap-bar to regular deadlifts?

Am i moronic for prefering the trap-bar to regular deadlifts? Shit is kino, makes my forearms burn like hell and hits my legs much better than regular deadlifts

Will it come back to bite me if i don't do regular deadlifts?

What's your goal? Powershitting competing? You need to do regular diddlys. You want to look good naked? You can stick with trap bar

Why would trap bar give you a better look than regular deadlifts? Regular DLs hit a lot more of your back overall while trap bars focus more on legs. Since when do women or anyone besides homosexuals care about legs?

Not the same person but girls love a big ass.

My gf gropes it constantly. I used to neglect my legs at gym and now still hate squats and deadlifts but I do it because I love the attention and my motivation has increased.

I busty girl groped it, another one comments on it.

you're dumb for worrying about this
trap bar deadlift can be about 90% as much hip hinge as a regular deadlift if you position yourself that way
so it just hits legs a bit more

Pretty sure the trap bar overlaps more with squat than deadlift in terms of how it works out the leg muscles

Its shit. There will never be a time where you are lifting something and the center of mass is aligned with the center of your body. Trap bar deadlifting is gay fatherless behavior. The pic you posted confirms that you're the exact kind of person that deadlifts with the trap bar.

regular DLs are shit by your own definition. you never lift something IRL that's perfectly balanced on both sides and keep a perfect form straight up just to put it back down again. that's why powershitters get back injuries by moving 5kg shit at an angle

As long as you're doing a pure hinge as well (rdl/good morning) you'll be totally fine

Trap bar is easier, pound for pound. It's a perfectly fine exercise but it is more leg driven, less hinge. Trades deadlift carryover for quad power near the bottom of a squat and some loaded carry strength.

Using the trap bar for deadlifting is fine so long as you're not doing it just becasue it's easier than a regular deadlfit. Lifting isn't supposed to be easy and comfortable, if you swap it out make sure you have a good thought out reason that isn't just "it feels better and is easier", this shit will give you low T and massive gyno

It just makes me more sore, i feel as if i cheat too easily on the regular deadlift but i have to grind it out on the trap bar

not the guy, but is trap bar easier on the back for heavier lifts? I'm 30 and a minor back injury will literally kill me.

Why risk a back injury to begin with? I mean if you're trying to minimize risk injury as much as possible then it's probably best to stick to trap bar DLs - but if it'd literally kill you then I'd advice you to not lift heavy at all ever.

I trap bar if im not feeling regular deadlifts.
Ill usually program them for a 6 week stretch.
Then go back to regular deadlifts.
There isn't much carry over unless you fail at lockout or with grip but the rest it gives me compared to conventional allows me to work on my squat/bench/ohp without losing much strength.
