    downside of OMAD is if you're out w/ friends or something and they try to eat more than once. least attractive thing ever is to be that guy who doesn't want to get anything imo. but good 4 weight control

      Trick is, order something tiny and just take a couple of bites, they won't notice after that.

        You can still eat socially but pick the lightest option from the menu. Same with drinking, it's entirely possible to just have a vodka soda or two instead of 5 normgroid wienertails and 10 beers.

        One thing I learned by accident that might just work for some places you eat out is asking for a menu item but without the rice or bread.
        Oftentimes I got huge portions of stir fried vegetables to replace the same volume of rice that way. Literally got more value in ingredients doing that than the regular dish and I had a similar experience at 3 places. Not always that much more calorie friendly though but even better value with a kebab once. Ask for a kebab box without fries. They just replaced all the fries with twice the amount of meat.
        I think they just don't know how to handle these request without cutting into their margins because no one ever asks them to.

      I just eat a modest amount with friends then fast for the rest of the day.
      As long as you're not eating out every day, it works.

      I've done that before. I don't mind being the odd guy not eating. As long as I lose weight, I'm happy.

      It actually worked. It's 2pm and I don't feel hungry. I'm going to go home from work, tidy up a bit. I don't even feel the want to touch the fridge
