i know, the point is if you dont know what exactly is made of then you cant know if its better or not there are several factors that matter, and the truth is animal protein comes at the top everytime, the % means nothing the BCAAs means nothing

So, they make a culture out of milk and desynth it later? It works I guess but Id rather just use normal whey. Its cheaper.

        Anonymous

I need a bit under 180gr of protein per day to meet my goals. That means around 700gr of beef per day. If I were to eat that with broccoli, I would need to eat 5.5 KILOGRAMS of broccoli per day.
        Lmao. Only 1900 calories though!

Vegetal protein is not as bioavaliable as animal protein, so...
92% ends up being closer to 70% or 60%.
If you use an isolated whey it can also go over 90% protein content.

Actually, yeah it is. The reason why plant protein is seen as less bioavailable is the fact that your body has to break down the cellulose in the plant to get to the protein, which is inefficient. You should be able to figure out why a processed plant protein powder is thus much more bioavailable than a plant protein from a whole plant source. It's still likely not going to compare to animal protein powders, but it's likely much closer than you think, close enough that there likely is not much of a difference between the two.

There's also something to be said about highly bioavailable protein sources like whey in regards to spikes in blood sugar. It is unfortunate that a large amount of studies are funded by special interests and thus the studies are adulterated and don't paint a clear picture on these issues. Plus the only ethical way to conduct a human study on nutrition is to conduct epidemiological study, which is not very high quality. Compounding this is the fact that long term high quality human studies cost tens of millions of dollars.

I don't mind it but the left is still more cost effective. If fermenting shit actually creates good tasting, high quality peptides for cheaper than whey I'd eat it.

Proton powder is just a supplement and should not be used for the entirety or even majority of your daily protein intake

      Anonymous

Nope, whey is a food like anything else. It's is a complete protein and you can get 100% of your protein intake from it.

        Anonymous

whey is a processed food, which means our bodies didn't evolve mechanisms to safely consume large amounts of it.

You'd be much better off metabolically by consuming something like skim milk or nonfat whole food sources of protein. You also don't require nearly as much protein as is recommended by many in the fitness industry that also just happen to sell protein powders.
