Any downside to doing this exercise everyday? I've been doing every other day and I see no results on my chest. Every other muscle I worked on has improved a lot (back, shoulders, triceps, quads) but my chest stays the same. That's why I'm considering doing chest press everyday.
I'm not trans.
But you just said you were
black men twerking
Train to failure.
Make sure your nutrition is on point and you're on a surplus.
If all else fails, you just have shit chest genetics.
>most important muscle
>shitty genetics
that's it for me. God truly hates me.
>Train to failure.
Worst fucking advice
Good way to overload your CNS and recovery abilities beyond what they can support
shouldn't train to failure more than once a month on each body part
Training to failure is a great way to break down your muscle tissue and grow them stronger, but yes you do need more recovery time. If you're only lifting 3x/4x a week then training to failure isn't a problem
If you can train them every day, that means you are not training hard enough. Just do more sets and go to failure pussy
ok, will do. I barely can lift 25lbs with each arm. Fucked up.
Do incline db press and dips, all you need for chest. Unironically machine chest press is better cuz u can go to failure just worrying dumbbells will smash ur face.
I get extremely tired doing chest exercises like dumbell press, to the point I can'et even do them anymore, but I never get my chest muscles tired. It's not like leg extensions where I can't event walk after doing them.
you're cheating with ur shoulders and triceps, they're failing before ur chest gets tired. do low weight and practice until u get form and mind muscle connection right.
I just tried with less than 10 lbs.
Only thing I feel is my joints. No chest activation at all.
Why is it so hard to train? the most important muscle for looks and...
I can bench 150lbs, but I barely can lift 25lbs with dumbbells.
I'm so fucking sad. Dumbbell Chest Flys also work nothing at all. I can't do pushups. I have sagging hips.
Why, oh god, why?
Do other chest exercises until you find one that you feel. Dips n pullovers etc.
see
drop set cable flys and then immediately segue into drop set of chest press. do this until you cannot do it anymore. the weight will vary, but on the chest press I put a 45, three 10s and 1 25. once I fail I remove the 25 then immediately go back until I fail again then remove a 10, etc etc until there are no more plates on the machine.
>t. knower
cant even move 10lbs on cable flys...
do them bent over on pic related or whatever similar thing your gym has. I promise you can do more than you think.
That'a exactly what I'm doing. It won't move. I don't know, guess I'm just a genetic dead end.
About Sven Press, I should start where? 50lbs?
>can't chest fly 10lb
>wants to svend press 50
are you trolling me? post your body, I don't believe what you're saying
I mean, it's a different movement and you can use both hands.
Can I do it with a dumbbell?
Ok, just did it (on the bench) with 30 lbs (4x12) and it was easy. Didn't really feel my chest tho.
Is lying cable crossover good for the chest? I can move 50 lbs there
*lying cable pullover, sorry
the svend press is a standing movement. you are doing something different
do what you can with the cable flys. you need to get stronger
can i do these with dumbbells? I don't know, the weight is going down (because gravity)
the idea is to hold 2 plates together so that they don't slide apart and fall. this forces your pecs to get active holding them together
I'm doing this but with the dumbbell, squeezing it with my hands.
How fast are your reps and how is your range of motion? If it helps something I like to do sometimes is to lower the weight and do slower reps, focusing on good form and trying to use the right muscles (almost like you’re flexing them a bit while doing it).
they are normal, not fast but not slow. My ROM is great I guess, i watched a lot of videos before starting and I'm always paying attetion to my form.
Honestly, I feel my chest muscles only when I not holding any weight.
I just tried the Sven Press with 22lbs (3x15) and I guess it's ok, I actually felt my chest a little bit but I'm worried it might be because it happens everytime you move your hands like that... anyway.
I've read the Sven Press is supposedly controversial.
Man that's almost no weight at all, you wont be noticing results
Either you started yesterday or you're not eating enough
I started one year ago. I think I'm TOFI (thin outside fat inside).
I don't feel my chest at all. I'm desperate, I don't know what to do anymore.
I always feel my joints, biceps, triceps, shoulders... but noy.my chest
eat more bro
It does not work your bottom so if you are post op it's still should be ok.
the ammount of results on google for "cant feel my chest during workouts" show there's something weird going on
do chest DOMS even exist? come to think of it I don't think I ever them
damn bro your not hitting your chest AT ALL lmao. My chest doms keep me up sometimes
The weight cartel will hate me for saying this but use less weight and focus on mind muscle connection. If you go too heavy your arms/shoulders are likely to take over.
I can get DOMS around the sternum if I pick up wide grip bench or dips after a while
bros i can bench 225 for reps, how do i make sure i'm activating my pecs while i hit chest?
I get plenty towards my armpits, can also feel some if I touch the inner chest
it's the overhead press for me, thanks
Do Svend presses until you have enough pectoral muscle to even recruit in the first place. It took me from a 1 plate benching Andy to being able to manually bounce my pecs.
only do each muscle group every 3 days to recoverymaxx. a 3 day split is best for this. also for chest I recommend drop sets
>doing this exercise everyday?
gains are made in recovery, not the actual lift retard.
Chest is very easy to overtrain retard. Do cable flies as well as flat, incline and decline 3x a week max and make sure you’re eating good after.
You'll get gyno
I don't really barbell bench press but I always hit the dumbbells I'm up to the 50s and I feel great, definitely had to work to get here and I only see myself growing more
How long did it take? How was it at the beggining?
Probably about 4 months, since I signed up for the gym, to be honest. I was doing 30s, now I do 50s. I actually just got back from the gym and squeezed in a few reps of the 55s after I finished my sets of the 50s. Just consistency. i got a long way to go
I just tried doing dumbbell fly with just one arm, I'm really feeling it now.
20 lbs 4 - 12.
>everyday
you're doing low weight high reps what you need is high weight low reps
