Yoga is more about growing longer and taller, than it is about hypertrophy. It can give you awesome foundational strength and makes your body look nice, but your muscles only grow to a limit. It's incredibly useful for fixing your weaknesses and imbalances, which I think takes precedence over targeted workouts on machines/barbell lifts where you're sitting on a bench. Yoga gives you neurological adaptations that you can't find anywhere else.
The biggest benefit from yoga was learning how to control my spine at all times. You learn that the spine works as a unit, and you always want to extend the spine creating even space between all your vertebrae, instead of compressing your lumbar spine or cervical spine like we are wont to do. You do this by stretching out your abs in a cobra pose for example and it feels amazing.
I used to have a lot of lower back pain and shoulder stiffness but doing hot yoga every week has completely cured it, as well as keeping me disease-free. I'm 37 and never felt better
It's body weight exercise, so if it's all you're doing you can get gains as long as you make sure to do progression through increasingly difficult variations.
I mainly use it to increase and maintain flexibility. It's also a great post-workout recovery when you go slow with easy movements.
True
What yoga has over regular static stretching is dynamic stretches and static all rolled into one. Static stretching on it's own does literally nothing unless you are willing to do weighted stretches and hold them for 20 minutes. Never has. Dynamic stretching is ok and is a little better. Both together is excellent. Now that you know this just make your own little routine and don't have to do yoga videos.

Yoga is not even exercise. It's literally just a religious ritual.
If this isn't bait, I recommend doing a 30 minute beginner flow and see how well you feel after. Bring a towel.

yeah the kino is when you're in a pose and you realise you've been using your body inefficiently

If you're tight it's good to prevent injury. Otherwise avoid it
You can just do normal stretching for that. You don't even need most of the crap and poses you do in yoga
