Anyone else here have unironic, diagnosed low T?

Got tested below-range Total T myself recently (free T was "merely" low-normal). Puberty was normal and my balls are a normal size so that 99% rules out actual Klinefelter's Syndrome but just raises the question of what else could be wrong. Have to wait weeks to see a specialist. I am obese but overwhelmingly even most obese guys don't test as low as I have.

They're just gonna tell you to lose weight and then see then again before they give you anything medically, especially if your free test is still in range which does heavily point to your weight being the cause

OP here. My body count is like 15 (18 if you count oral) since I'm funny and go out a lot. Only a couple of them were fat, sometimes I'm in the mood for that lmao. I do have a deep voice to be fair and I am 6'0"

Just talk to girls more bro. One thing that helped me was playing online games that have a lot of chicks and voice chatting with them (Overwatch, FF14 etc). Helps build conversation skills but is less intimidating.

Well it's true, just don't do the cringe cold approach PUA shit. Put yourself in situations where there are girls.

Being getting IST for girls is a meme. 80% of getting a girl making her laugh and feel comfortable and being taller than her (not even necessarily tall in general). Half the dudes on this board are trying to max out on something that's only like 10% of your grade with the ladies and as you can see it's led them into ruin, mental illness, relentless aggressive shitposting, etc.

A girl will never be attracted to a fat guy, even 6ft guys still need to be 180 to be even looked at as human, I still have 20 more pounds before a woman would even think of me outside of direct conversation

It's same with any exercise: you do it more and become better at it. Your girl talking muscle is weak so you need to train it. Do it for the gains, not for the pussy.

Hey fit. I'm not sure how to filter through the pozzed "reccomended" T levels for adult males.

My recent blood test came back at 670 ng/dl for a 32 year old male. Is that considered good?

      Anonymous

Ya that's actually pretty decent for your age, early 20s should be 7-800s for a normal healthy person (biologically normal not american normal) and it then slowly drops with age. If you're having any problems it's not gonna be from available testosterone, you can pretty safely ignore that

    Post results OP

Here are mine, I'm "in range" but previous urologist told me I'm fricked.
These are my Stats / Results:
    > 1.80 m / 80kg / 28 yrs
    > Total Test: 3.270 ng/ml
    > Free Test: 25.01 pg/ml
    > Estradiol: 11.5 pg/ml
    > Progesterone: 0.23 ng/ml
    > Prolactine: 5.33 ng/ml
    > LH: 2.50 mui/ml
    > HGH: 0.04 ng/ml
    > SHBG: 19.70 nmol/I
    > Cortisol:10.80 pg/dl

In January I got similar results (didnt got tested for Total Estrogen this time, last time I got 43.74 pg/ml) The urologist suggested TRT and avoiding the varicocelle surgery, but I wanted to see if I have other options (it seems Clomid could be one)...Went to an Endo in January as well and he said i'm ok because everything is "in range".

I'm going to the urologist tomorrow, probably will put me in TRT, sucks having no more libido and being stuck in the skinny fat purgatory

But yeah probably will post here any updates tomorrow if thread is still up, I may do a new thread but probably it will get buried and ignored in the sea of the garbage non-fit threads

    Med student here
There is a lot of misconceptions about testosterone on Internet, especially on self help and masculine websites. Everyone is assuming that testosterone makes you more manly or something and tying it to self esteem.
It's ok if you're "outside the range" and have not noticed any health problems. Moreover, secretions are variable, they depend on the time of day for example, and statistical errors happens. A low concentration is actually not sufficient for making a diagnostic of testosterone deficiency.
Masculinity is in your head, not in some shitty concentration. I also found this : https://aeon.co/ideas/testosterone-is-widely-and-sometimes-wildly-misunderstood
Op you're probably fine (except for your obesity)

Do you think that in general low T is overdiagnosed and a lot of symptoms are much more commonly caused by psychological and lifestyle issues?

        Anonymous

Absolutely 100% (im not that medgay though). I was diagnosed low T but since one reading is not enough I had to get more done, I went from 300 ng/dl to +800 ng/dl with just lifestyle changes. And the funniest thing is I barely did any lifestyle changes. I still had shit sleep, a lot of stress etc. I just marginally improved my life and my test shot back up. Well I mostly started taking vitamins. With good sleep and stress-free life? Frick I'd be over 1000.

I'd say that 99/100 symptons are just in people's head and singular low test bloodworks are anomalies. There is a reason why the range is so wide and it's exactly because of situations like mine. It can naturally fluctuate from 300 to 800, even more. The range is not low because of ~~*~~*~~*~~*((muh consipiracy*~~*~~*~~) its moronic virgin incels with shit diet and shit sleep and depression etc. that drive the average down.

Yeah that's kinda what I've been thinking about myself. I'm early 30's and definitely noticing minor symptoms (some light ED, no morning wood), but on the flipside I also know my sleep hygiene is absolutely fricking godawful and my diet could definitely be improved.

also I don't give a frick what they say, PIED definitely manifests with low T symptoms

lecithin is amazing and i recommend all of you homosexuals on this board take it immediately if you are not already. its one of the few supplements that has had a noticeable improvement on:
orgasm quality, penile sensitivity (which i'm kinda numb down there, so bonus for me), mental acuity/cognition.

My dad has diagnosed low T, he's like 44 and it was in the 290's
It's so obviously a lifestyle issue though, he works his desk job way too fricking hard (used to be a skilled labourer; understandably got a degree and now makes double what he did) and he just does not prioritise sleep. He's always been a workcel; will get 4 hours of sleep because UHHH WE GOTTA LOTTA SHIT TO DO ROUND HERE. Used to be muscular and strong; now lifts like once every two weeks. It's sad, he was my hero as a kid, untouchable, and now I've just completely surpassed him physically.

Yes. Got 280 ng/ml blood levels. My doctor wanted to prescribe me TRT. I started taking HCG instead, because it doesn't permanently suppress your Leydig cells. Now it's around 700-800 ng/ml. Still not ideal, but I feel a lot better.

I actually just got back from the doctor's office. Been there to report non-existant libido & really low motivation for the past 2 years.
After looking at the blood results he suggested 250mg of Nebido (testosterone Undecanoate) once per month. Still not sure about whether I should follow his advice since pretty much 99% folks on the internet say that getting a shot once a month is a no no. Keep in mind that I'm not really looking for any gym gains, purely the other, bed part of the life.

Yes, it's unfortunately real and very under diagnosed. Here's my tale...

After years of wondering why I was fat and couldn't build muscle, I had some blood work done. Normal testosterone range is 400-700, and I was at 186. Barely detectable. Vitamin D was also abysmal, which is directly tied to your T levels. Doctor put me on TRT (1.62% Testosterone USP gel, frick needles) Clomiphene (stimulates pituitary gland), and Vit D supplements for about 9 months and I finally got above 400. My goal is that top end around 700. Only reason I didn't find out sooner is insurance will not pay for it, so I had to know to ask about it.

$85/mo for the gel, $200-300 in blood work every few months to check your levels. Vit D is whatever, and Clomiphene is "off-label" for males so you gotta pay like $15 for 10 pills (1 every other day). GoodRx is better than my shit insurance so look for a Sav-on or similar pharmacy. Frick Walgreens, they charge the most on my area.

But now I feel the best I've ever been. I'm actually enjoying the gym now; I do 45 min on the elliptical & light weights for 15-30 a day. 1500-1800 kCal max, no restrictions except limited alcohol; hunger pains are a b***h but you gotta do it. I'm down to 228 today and I was 265 only 3 months ago. Dropped about 2 belt sizes. Blood pressure dropped from 137 to 118. Sleeping better, feeling positive. I am noticing a little more tendency to get agitated or anxious but it's completely manageable if I cut back on caffeine and alcohol. And I'm gaining muscle!

They still don't know exactly why this happens, but it's likely related to a sedentary lifestyle. I'm a software engineer so I'm inside all day, probably why. If you're not sure, it's worth getting checked out.

Go to a legit family doctor, get blood tests for your testosterone levels. It'll take about a day to get the results. If you're below normal they'll write you an Rx. But I believe once you hit your goals they won't give it to you anymore. It's a controlled substance because of rampant abuse.
