I've slept on the floor now for about a decade.
I got a full. It's nice, would recommend.
I recently bought a pad to help reduce pressure points.
    Got a wool comforter.

Where do yall live? I used to sleep on a mattress on the floor but the roaches and spiders were too much. Since getting a bed frame they don't bother me.

If you're sure no woman will ever sleep with you, go for it.

I've slept on one for about 8 years. They're fine but they get lumpy/moldy if you don't put them up every day or have like a tatami matt. I prefer it because I can just throw my futon in my closest and still have a normal office/study with a one bedroom apartment. I wouldn't say it's better or worse for your back. It makes it really hard to sleep if you get elbow or shoulder pain though.

Thanks, I’ll look into those brands, and yeah I was planning to get some kind of bamboo mat to shove under it between the floor.

I literally sleep on a single mattress on the floor half under a computer desk and my girlfriend loves staying over

I got one because I'm poor and live in a studio apartment. Being able to put it away in the closet when I'm not sleeping makes much better use of the limited space. You just have to make sure to air it out regularly and keep the floor clean. It did also completely get rid of my back pain.

      >If you're sure no woman will ever sleep with you, go for it
I clean my floor every morning after putting away the mattress in order to prevent mold, and the cleanliness is what every single woman has commented on. They don't give a shit about the fact I have to pull the futon out.

Yeah, a western futon is a lower basic bedframe with a thinner matress

I bought one from a company called native nest on Amazon for like a couple hundred when I moved into my apartment. Have not bothered get a real bed, floor mattress is perfectly comfy and I am now convinced that expensive mattresses and bed frames are yet another consumerist scam. Your ancestors slept on soft grass and animal hides, if you cannot be comfortable on a similar level softness then you are the problem, not the floor mattress.

i slept on a futon when i was a teenager. it was awesome. it had a frame though so i could fold it into a couch, and i always had teen girls over who would sit on it when it was a couch. nothing better than laying down to go to sleep and smelling flowery perfume sports shorts sweaty cooter shaven butt cheeks on the futon kek

I guarantee none of you homosexuals are putting yiur futons away daily, sunning them at least once a week and bashing the dust of out them reguarly. Consequently you are sleeping on a petri dish of mould and dust mites.

What do you mean "putting away"? Rolling it up? Wouldn't that make it more susceptible to mold and such? And yes I do sun it weekly.

    >recently bought a good sportsman bed
I ws looking to rip the old matress and pull out the springs and whatnot for other purposes, but got lazy and put my new matress on top of old. And I already had a high bed frame below it, so right now Im sleeping half way closer to the ceiling than the floor. Its an interesting experience.
