anyone in a relationship where you are the only one who works out and does regular fitness related activities?

anyone in a relationship where you are the only one who works out and does regular fitness related activities?
ive been trying to get my gf into exercise and weightlifting for 7 years without much luck. she does a little bit of casual gym exercise once sometimes twice a week now, but there isnt much progress in terms of looks or numbers.
i see her mom and it makes me terrified of my future (she has a fat upper body with pencil thin legs, no butt, and can barely walk now due to knee problems). my gf is quite thin (especially by american standards - 135-140lbs at 5'7"), but she is not athletic at all and its really making me unattracted nowadays. at this point im kinda just at a base level unhappy with things. any advice would be appreciated

My gf started lifting on her own. I never forced her to do it or wanted her do it. She was relatively skinny when we started dating, lifting weights, eating more food and putting on more weight made her happy.
It helped a lot, that I've been lifting weights for over 5 years myself and like to cook, it calms me.

If she doesn't want to do it on her own, there is nothing you can do to make her do it. No offense but she sounds kind of lazy OP. If you still love her, then you're fricked. Femoids are relatively easy to influence, but they quickly get bored if they don't see anything in it.

yeah i love her. but I also have nightmares now on a regular basis because of a scary looking future. i keep dreaming of dropping erverything and going back to my ancestral home of sweden - where fitness is the norm

Same boat for five years, but she started doing a lot of charity fundraising about 6 months ago, and had to take up cardio. Fortunately I managed to get her to transition into some weights by encouraging her to use my home gym. Like most women, she's only doing legs and ass, but I can't complain too much, she's gained 4" on her thighs and 7" on her ass so far. Won't be truly happy until she can bench me though

nice, im happy for you bud.
its hard to stay motivated when the gf is so lazy. I wish I was with someone who helped motivate me for a change.

if she wasn’t in shape when you met her and 7 years later she still isn’t, she won’t ever be

This. I hope y'all work it out, but she ain't going to magically fix herself. Will say she's 50% her dads DNA(inb4 50% homosexual for liking a girl bro) you should see if he's like naturally really skinny.

It’s better to have a gf who doesn’t lift and shit imo

yeah the dad is in decent shape

I had this problem with my gf not wanting to lift. She lifted with me for 6 months but got frustrated since she wanted results right away since I mogged her on having a nice butt compared to her. I told her straight up that she cannot buy any new clothes nor vent about not being able to fit in some of her clothes if she doesn't take diet and fitness seriously. I called her out on her promise to lose weight and exercise but told her she needs to walk the walk and not be all talk. It's a long road but you gotta be patient.

yeah Ive been waiting 7 years

My sister does a lot of biking (half tours and is training for triathlons). Her husband is skinny fat and plays video games.
I have no advice to give. I think she started training because she wants kids but her husband has stated he isnt ready. Better to train than confront your relationship problems.

      ouch

my bf used to work out with me but stopped when he went to law school. he put on a bunch of weight and has noodle arms and like that hunched neck that fat people get. I'm not very attracted to him anymore. I've tried to get him to work out with me a million times but he just won't do it. bought him dumbbells and a bench but he won't use those either. honestly don't know what to do at this point

wow youre a girl version of me

not hearing much advice in this thread, mostly just venting lol

No, me and gf lift together and she used to compete in college weightlifting.

It’s cool to have the encouragement, macro friendly dinners cooked for me, and a partner who understands the lifestyle but it’s obvious that lifting was a big part of the gravitation towards each other from the start, so I feel like if I were to get injured or have to stop lifting for medical reasons it would create a rift in our routines and relationship.

Sometimes I feel like normie gf would be less pressure but the pressure of having a IST gf probably makes me push myself a little harder to improve so it’s a weird feel

Don't date someone expecting them to change, either for you out themselves. If you are unhappy, use your big boy words and talk to her, or just leave

Sounds like youre about to lose 7 years of your life bro. Would you commit to this person for life? If so, work on it and do it, be intentional.
If not, break up now and seek a wife.

Go on hikes and/or bike rides, it will force her to exercise. And she’ll get a nice lower body.
