What do the biggest and baddest of IST use for preworkout??
I bought pic related 2 weeks ago from a GNC on rec with the over-the-counter guy there and it doesn't make me feel any pump or energy for workouts even after 2 scoops. I only get a bad case of the shits from it a few hours after.

I use this one with dmaa once every while. Need to take half a scoop and before 10 am otherwise I cant sleep at night.
Apparently Herolean from Dark Labs is even stronger.

2-2.5 scoops of this, 10mg cialis, 50mcg clen, and a plum for a good one

On a normal day though I just take el jefe preworkout which is better than any garbage you find at gnc but not quite the junky shit like crack

I would probably hit a pr on each lift and then die of a heart attack

      fricking this.

tried the full dose of 2 scoops a few days ago and almost had to bail out of the gym, as i felt on actual mdma. insane energy, couldn't focus properly, sweat profusely and couldn't even speak properly, as i would interrupt every person mid sentence.

maybe once a week for me and max 1 scoop. the pump is insane though

I get so mad when I take this, my mood is ruined for the rest of the day. Not bad though, don't take it even twice a week or you will develop a tolerance and get headaches

I drink 2 NOS energy drinks a day before waging and was casually drinking energy drinks like water back in High school. Caffeine does literally nothing to me anymore. I just want the pump

If you buy prewotkout then you are a fricking moron and a homosexual. Just sleep well, stay hydrated, hit all of your micros for the day, and then maybe drink some coffee before you’re workout. Maybe even bring some simple carb snacks to the gym too

some of us work in a non sedentary job and also hit the gym+hobby after work, anon. i'm pretty sure my diet is on point most of the time, but sometimes it's simply not enough. sometimes i can maintain this pace without problem the whole week, but if i had a rough week on my job, u usually gas out on thursday. the extra kick of a preworkout on a friday after work is very welcomed

Pre workout is fricking gay and makes me weaker I'm alot stronger without that many stimulants tightening up my cns. if I do a pre-workout anymore its walmart brand garbage with lcit l arginine and hardly any caffeine and a cialis if you want a good pump just get tadalafil a huge bottle is like 30 bucks on the internet

  10. 2 years ago

What does IST think of stimulant-free pre-workouts?
    Stuff like Gorilla Mode Nitric

None of the pre workouts are worth it unless you're getting dmaa or dmha. It's basically very low grade speed, cialis and coffee is all you need senpai

The only things that provide an actual benefit are
    >sodium
    >instant carbs like glucose or dextrose. Gummy bears for example.
    >caffeine
I don't even think bcaas help because you're not growing during the workout so preloading protein or intraworkout protein is pointless unless you're working out for hours like you do in real sports. The rest of this junk is just shit that appeals to zoomers like
    >oooh my face is tingly from the beta-alanine!!! 🙂

maybe for the average amerilard brain rotten by social media, but for the rest of the world is just the past tense/participle of wake. although i'll admit it's not just an american thing anymore, as in every corner of the world there's an american media wienersucker, which is kind of really sad.

this is a preworkout thread my frog friend, but i'll always make exception for newbies; protein from actual food will always be better than from shakes, although i see the convenience of powder to reach your daily protein goal because i use whey too. never used decathlon products before, but i'd say go for it. you shouldn't spend too much money on a product that's already the leftovers of another product.

        >this is a preworkout thread
I know, but I did not felt like starting a new thread for something this minor.
        >protein from actual food will always be better than from shakes
I know and I take it from food, but I still supplement my protein intake with whey. All I needed was to know if that product is good, in terms of composition.

        Thx fren

if you want more opinions, try the /qtddtot/ thread. i think there's not one active right now, so starting one it's the best way to get lots of different replies.
still, never pay more than €30 for one kg of whey. hell, never pay more than that for any supplement, unless you go for one of those yonkie-tier preworkouts like

There is literally only one pre-workout that may worth your money, and that is caffeine. That's what all the pre-workouts are loaded with along with artificial flavoring, sugar, and an inflated price tag.

Do actual strongmen and body builders take preworkouts? Yes they do. So its safe to say there is probably a benefit. And they arent taking it just because they are sponsored. Its not that all that other shit in the preworkout doesnt do anything because on some level it does. The question is, is it worth the money when a cup or two of coffee for about 20 cents gives you 90% if the benefits of a preworkout. That answer is up to the individual.

For those that arent poorgays and/or those that dont like the taste of coffee the answer is most likely yes.

we literally tell newbies to read the sticky to get them from clogging up the board, nobody who has lifted for more than a year actually follows the sticky

        >referring to the sticky unironically
        >a fricking article which hasn't had a major update since 2012

even fricking reddit has better articles by now

Surely you aren't implying that the sticky has no merit at all simply because it's old.
Also, who the frick needs pre-workout? You really think your pumps get stronger just from 300mg of caffeine and tingly powder?

          Anonymous

it has merit. it helped me tremendously about 6 years ago when i was a turbo dyel. it has utility, specially for newbies, but fricking hell, even you have to admit it needs a refresh by now.

have you seen it yourself lately? it still spergs about omega 3 when it has been prooven that it's just a waste of money, even more than preworkouts without dmaa/dmha

you can get the same benefits of daily omega 3 supplementation by actually eating fish rich in omega 3 (deenz, salmon) at least once per week. the omega 3 will be even better quality and fully absorbed by your body.

also, some bodies will react negatively to fish oil, but that's just personal bad luck

newbie here. Reading this thread it seems a lot of anons don't recommend pre-workout. Is it better to just take creatine separately and protein powder an hour within workout?

      Anonymous

it's not that is not recommended, it's just that the majority of preworkouts are caffeine based, which you can easily just make your own coffe for a fraction of what a pw costs.
now, there's others pw with actual super strong shit like dmaa or dmha, but those are not for daily consumption.
if you, however, have the money and like shitty sinthetic flavours, by all means, go for them.
also, you seem to be confusing creatine and protein as preworkouts.
