What do you mean, they're bad for hypertrophy or doing them too much causes muscle atrophy?

you have never done 300 atg body weight squats in one set.

That would do literally nothing for hypertrophy

Does anyone else despise air squats? Id rather do bb squats or any type of cardio. They seem to languish in the zone between hard and easy

I like them because it feels like good cardio and they also hit abs and lower back hard

I dont get that at all. It feels tiring without accomplishment

I do 5 sets of a 100, after the second set I really feel my abs and lower back

Then those areas are really weak, you shouldn't feel them at all since there's no external load like on a barbell squat

Hmm shit, what should I do. Some deadlifts?

                >deadlifts
Great for lower back, yeah. Then do some direct ab work and you'll be good
