Not the best, but if they are a substantial source of plant protein. If you are pursuing fitness as opposed to bodybuilding or powershitting just watch your calories.

they don't need to be complete if you're eating complimentary proteins throughout the day

The same types of studies that show that feed animals bulk quickly on seed oils are also ones that recomend milk protein over legumes.

If you're concerned about health and longevity, then milk protein should be balanced out with cheese protein, legume protein or gelatin.

Drinking 1L of milk per day contributes 1.0g of cysteine more than if an equal amount of cheese protein was eaten.

Excess methionine + cysteine impairs liver functions, causes inflammation, reduces glutathione levels and accumulates in the body with age, being an excellent predictor of cardiovascular disease.

Methionine restriction is actually one of biggest leads in longevity research.

But okay, if you want to bulk like a feed animal, go for it.

They are amazing if you treat them as a carb source because then the protein is like an extra bonus on top. If you try to rely on it for protein & you're cutting, youll go over your caloric limit before you get enough protein. It might be enough on a bulk if you eat zero junk.

Only relevant if you're a feed animal trying to gain +400% body weight in 6 weeks, or you're a starving african that consumes 40g of protein per day.

People who eat 100+g of protein a day, especially if they have daily animal protein intake, don't have to worry about it.
