          He actually doesn’t have chicken legs just weird fricking flamingo proportions where 60% of his leg is tibia. This same weird ass build is also one of the reasons he’s so successful since he kicks better than everyone. No matter how much he lifts his legs will always look fricked because your calves can only grow so big. Also he probably should stay away from calf hypertrophy cuz heavier calves would make his kicks slower.

      Fighters don't train legs (for mass) because combat sports are weight classed and lots of mass on the legs will push you up a weight class
      Of course some fighters do prioritise leg strength anyway

      He got into it when he was moving to heavyweight
      He's now fat and slow, but he was already on a downturn at the tail end of his light heavy career so you can't really blame it purely on the lifting

    They do train them. Strength and muscle size are not 1:1. Fighters have to make weight and don't want extra bulk. They need to be fast and explosive and have good cardio. This doesn't gel with bodybuilding. Jones is also 6'4 it would take a lot to fill his frame out. Most bodybuilders are shorter.

    I used to skip leg days until I met a girl at the gym that we become FWB with, one day me, her, and her bestie were going to eat out after the gym and they both commented how I need to hit legs more because they look small and started laughing. Never skipped leg day since.

    In fact train twice weekly MAX any other training you do should be for something else like yoga or physical therapy or walking in sunlight

    Big legs = big muscles
    Muscles need oxygen to function
    The reason why a lot of fighters aren't super muscular is because of the very real risk of gassing out.
    Boxing matches have twelve 3-minute rounds, and UFC five 5-minute rounds. Not including breaks, that's potentially 36 and 25 minutes of straight fighting. Hence, why stamina is a concern.
    If you're training because you want to compete, then it might be wise to watch out for excess muscle. But if you are just boxing or taking MMA for self-defense purposes, big and strong legs are more advantageous than less. I have never seen a street fight last more than 1-2 minutes, so the risk of gassing out is much lower.

    If weight is no issue, legs have the most important muscle groups.
    Ass grabs show that chicks appreciate them more than upper body.
    And they are the easiest muscles to bulk.
