I dont know shit about weight lifting or body building, can I get a fit muscular lean body like this with just calisthenics and basic dumbbell exercises?
Or do I actually have to go to the gym and use weight lifting equipment if I want to look like this natty
What an unfortunate face my guy god
Post face, just curious what your standards are
Facegay lookism incels are such gay homosexuals.
Girls like it
Nah hes got a quasi-KPop pretty boy face, combined with the lean, athletic, non-bloatlord physique and calisthenics flex he probably gets mad girls, guaranteed.
So what's up with this guy's neck?
His neck is too long so he used tatoos as a cope
You can get bigger than this with nothing but dips and pull-ups with sprinting every second day. This is assuming you're not a genetic dead end.
Use live bait. It works better
if it is true, why arent't there more people doing it?
>Run on your toes. ALWAYS.
wat
Have you got shit for brains, it says run on your toes
Do you also run on your tippy toes like a stealthy autist? Or is the whole post likely a troll to get morons like (you) injured?
That’s how you’re supposed to run as it’s the best way to build up calves
Moron.
This is good advice, part of why stair runs build muscle in a way that normal running doesn't
zoomers try so hard its sad
they literally play dress up and larp everything they do
Calisthenics is not a meme. You can get big and very, very strong with bodyweight alone. Weights are a valid option too. They both have their pros and cons, just choose what´s best for you. The best though is weighted calisthenics.
It's a meme to do it unweighted, or as your sole form of "strength training". Almost everyone who looks like this guy either lifts in addition calisthenics, does peds, or is 5'5''. I would say if your goals are based on aesthetics or strength, even if it's just "ottermode" you should hit the weights. If you're into climbing, gymnastics, or things along those lines calisthenics is probably a good supplemental discipline for you. This is the part where you have to be honest with yourself and decide if you're going to waste 6-8+ years of your prime struggling in something that won't give you the results you want or are you going to admit you lift for girls and appearances and actually go to the gym and get where you want to be in 2-4 years.
I want to feel good, look good, and get a routine I can follow for a long time. Thats why I want to avoid the gym if possible, I dont want to be going to the gym 3 days a week every day for the next 20 years if I could get comparable results at home.
Then get some gymnastic rings for upper body. Buy a weight belt or weighted vest for legs when you're stronger.
Sorry not weight belt for legs, just a vest for legs. Though what id intended to say was you can also use a weight belt for upper body once you've gotten stronger. The gym is not necessary at all.
you probably can't get comparable results at home. You probably need a coach or something which usually means you have to go to a gym even for calisthenics. Weights are probably cheaper and easier to make results with at home without coaching only the initial investment is higher. If you're going to be paying $250+ a month for a high protein performance oriented diet for years all these costs are just a drop in the bucket compared to that.
>comparable results
Different inputs get different outputs. If you want to look like a weightlifter, you have to lift weights, simple as that. Calisthenics are still good for you and can still be your primary workout activity.
You can achieve similar results at home. You just need to apply the hypertrophy principles to a calisthenics program. These are:
• Sets with a load that makes you reach failure within 8 to 12 repeatitions.
• 10 to 15 weekly sets for every muscle group.
If you buy a pull-up bar and rings you can train you whole upper body. For legs, nordic curls and reverse nordics will take care of your quads and hamstring, but for you ass you need weights because it's the strongest muscle in the body.
I would advice for you to at least do 3 months at a gym to learn about form and then decide what to do.
Yeah you’re not gonna stick with anything
I was in the best shape in my life when all I did was run and do calisthenics. Don't touch a weight until you can do 20 strict deadhang pullups (no kipping crosshit), and 50 strict to the deck and lock out pushups. The gym is full morons who can bench 315 but can't do 50 actual pullups.
Also, look at plyometrics.
>was
Yup. In my 50s now. Also made the classic blunder of trying to get really swoll. Went from calisthenics to 90s style body building, to strongman. I have literal old man strength, but I am now way too heavy. Now trying to go back the other way.
How did you find yourself on IST, old man?
>how did you end up on IST
Another series of poor life choices. Also, the oldest of gays.
Who tf can do 50 pullups
50 pushups.
50 is easy but I’ve been doing gymnastics my whole life
>gestures with hands pointlessly
lmao do you not move your arms while talking? explains why you're a weird incel who can't hold people's attention
literally one of the first things you learn when studying public speaking is to move your arms and take up space as you talk
>Are Calisthenics a meme
Yeah
>Are Calisthenics a meme
Yes. It's like following a name diet. I do some bodyweight movements and some traditional weighted movements. There is no reason to fixate on building muscle with only your bodyweight. Don't listen to anyone that remarks such as "x is all you need for y" or similar statements. That person is either shilling something or trapped in an ideologically driven bubble. Consistently doing the basics in the gym is the fastest path towards success.
>There is no reason to fixate on building muscle with only your bodyweight.
Exactly. If you want to be fit, strong, aesthetic, skilled, athletic, or healthy, pullups and dips should be core movements in your routine. As should the barbell OHP.
The only reason to fixate about bodyweight it' because it's cheap and if you are just starting out pike push ups and barbell OHP are basically the same exercise.
Sure thing. You’ll have to buy a weighted vest after a while, though. I’d recommend buying a kettlebell and a pull-up bar if you want to train at home.
Yes you can get a good body with callisthenics, buy a pullup bar with dip handles, basically all you need
99% of guys who want to """make it""" just need an ascended ottermode body and 10-12% bodyfat.
You can easily achieve that with weighted ring pull-ups,chin-ups, dips (regular and bulgarian dips) and hanging leg raises. For weights you can use chains/loaded backpack/belt/ankle weights.
You'll probably want to isolate legs, regular leg press/leg extensions is more than enough.
>get tattoos
>crowd the area so much that it just looks like you spilled a bunch of ink on yourself
What a waste of money and skin space
Calisthenics is the way, weights are for homosexual basedboy redditors
not saying this guy looks like shit but if he didn't have those tats and wasn't fit he would not look much different from regular IST incels. you can easily tell if you imagine his face a little chubbier and his hair less groomed.
which is to say that most people here are underestimate their potential by a lot and can achieve what this guy has and more.
Calisthenics does not mean you have to use your body weight only.
If you put a dumbbell between your feet when doing pull-ups, that's still calisthenics. So yes, you can definitely get huge from calisthenics alone.
Theyre not a meme but stick to high volume for mass, homosexuals like this only do fancy tricks.
Callisthenics is the same thing as weightlifting but youre just using your body weight/gravity instead of external weights.
So yes you can get very fit and muscular off callisthenics alone. The downside is you dont have as much control over your progressive overload as you would with weights, but volume, effort, and consistency matter at least 100 times more than if your lifts are super optimal or not. So if callisthenics gets you to work out more go for it.
Also your OP probably is not natty so doubtful you will look like him as a natty, either hes roiding or has 1/1000000 genetics.
This is the right answer. Calisthenics can get you fairly muscular but you limit is whatever you can do with a single hand and your entire bodyweight.
So if you're 170lb you potentially have that weight at your disposal for curling or rowing. Not to mention some calisthenics movements are incredibly hard even at light weights.
The real problems with calisthenics are 1 no real legs for the most part and 2 its hard to target some specific muscles so I guess it can potentially develop a less attractive body. Nothing you can't solve with some dumbbells.
> Muh no real legs.
Only gay powershitters care about those.
2 hard to target specifics muscles is false because you can use a lot of different isolation movements and shorten the fricking rep range you dumb c**t and adjust the tension points, stop speaking on a topic you are basically moronic about.
Shut the frick up moron. I do calisthenics exclusively.
1 legs are important unless youre a fricking b***h, which you obviously are 2 its hard to isolate front shoulders and upper chest effectively, traps and even something as simple as biceps from different angles. Reverse grip curls are not very effective until you're fairly low to the ground which requires quite a bit of strenght.
I won't even tell you to post body cause you sound fricking deformed.
Lmao I got big legs so big infact they are kinda hard to manage and have to cut down on training them completely, unlike you, I'm not fat .
>Calisthenics meme?
You need 3 things to gain muscle. Good diet, rest and workout.
Calisthenics and every other "meme" workout will work to some extent but its the drawbacks you need to worry about.
You will still have to train for the rest of your life on both training methods. I think the most important factor is calisthenics has a much more complicated progression system then weight training. If you are a beginner then you will struggle A LOT with the technique.
Now other than that pic rel is achievable natty only if you are gonna be focusing on lifting for the great chunk of the next few years. Not to mention drastically changing your diet too. The realisation that its a hard goal to reach may either discourage you from lifting or tempt you to PEDs. Shoot for the stars but yeah
>can I look like this unnatural person naturally?
Probably the best advice greg doucette has ever given out is that you should take your goal body and reduce it by half, that's likely about where the average person can realistically get to.
I've been doing cali and kickboxing for around 4 months now and i look better than i did last 4 years. Push ups and pullups/chinups are goated excersizes
Outdoor calisthenics with resistance bands is the shit, pic related
No, calisthenics are not a meme. And no, you can't look like him, unless your genetics are the same as his.
Also, Chris lifts barbells.
Dips, Chin Ups, Dragon Flags, Hindu Squats, Dumbbell Curls and Overhead Presses. DBs work best if you are doing isometric holds to squeeze out extra juice out of them, just eat in calorie surplus, if you are getting pudgy stomach cut some of your typical eating for a while and see if it helps. Just eat clean foods so its easier to remove that fat.
They can definitely give you a perpetual pump provided that you keep consistent and do them daily but they're shit at gaining actual long term results. I basically use them to maximize my pump after a workout or on off days to maintain the pump.
it's meme. i did full body every other day for 4 months with my weight (kg) × 3 gram of protein intake. after 3 month of cutting only triceps got noticeably bigger
doing his exercies for planche is good hemorrhoid training, better take this russian guy https://youtu.be/1eM4DuA5Gq4
Yeah you have to lift to look like that, but you can get a good percentage of the way there with calisthenics.
What's the best calisthenics routine out there anyway? I need something to keep me going while I'm on holiday and can't gym.
Chin ups, dips, push ups, squats, there. Have at it.
Aim for a difficult variation or added weight so you reach failure or near-failure around 8-12 reps
Alternate sets in these pairs until 3 sets of each:
>Pullups/Chinups & Squats
>Dips & Hinges (Deadlifts or Nordic curls)
>Pushups & Rows
Core work optional, if you want you can just plank & side plank for a few minutes.
I will be heand? Wtf does that tattoo say
>can I build a body with calisthenics
Yes, if you approach it like a bodybuilder. If you focus on the stupid tricks you'll look like hybrid calisthenics.
>can I become a bodybuilder with calisthenics alone
No
>can I look like this natty
Probably but you don't have the patience or discipline to do it. He doesn't either, he uses drugs. He's a violent felon and ex-drug dealer he's not natty. He roid raged which is why he went to jail.
Some of those "stupid tricks" are beneficial such as planche, hand stands, dragon flags & human flags.
> Went to jail due roid rage.
Nope he went to jail for fighting against a group of essentially bullies I believe that never grew up. You want to back up your statement bruv? Cuz he's done a video where he shares the story. Too bad you are a beta male that won't defend himself, kiss your girlfriend goodbye oh right you will never have one.
what the frick is that thing
Some YouTube homosexual
speaking from experience, calisthenics is shit even if you do them weighted. I can't believe I wasted so much time doing it.
post your calisthenics bods
I'm far away from doing a single one arm pullup yet, so there's yet a lot of room for improvement
