No. I have a friend that was a skeletor lanklet during school and then gained 200 pounds drinking alcohol in his late 20s. He's probably dead by now

The classical idea of using bodytypes to determine personality is moronic as frick and online ideas of "train for your type" are just as stupid.
That said, yes they exist, but it's on a spectrum. Fat loss and muscle gain is the same regardless of whatever body type you have. If you're crazy endomorphic then all it tells you is that your goal to get shredded is lofty and you'll start feeling like shit at a fatter bf% than others. You'd probably tap out in the mid 20%s instead of the mid teens like others. Things like that.
Book on how to calculate yours if you're so inclined

There's a lot of bullshit surrounding "muh metabolism" but what is 100% true is your bone width and limb to torso ratio affects your leverages, making you better or worse at certain lifts, and that if you have a lankier build (not the same as height) you will just be able to pack on a smaller volume of raw muscle. Think about it; a higher total amount of muscle can wrap around someone who has 8 inch wrists (and thus, wider forearm bone) because there's more surface area, than someone with 5.5 inch wrists.

If you have very long limbs compared to your torso, you'll likely be much better at curls, extensions, pullups, deadlifts etc. than you would be at bench and squat. Note that just because your deadlift is easier than your squat doesn't mean you'll be stronger than a stocky guy who'll still be able to out-deadlift you because he just has a bigger build and thus more muscle mass, which still beats out the "advantage" you had that's only relative to yourself.

But you shouldn't use muh frame and body type as an excuse to never improve. Just go and lift.

to add to this, even stuff like your ribcage size affects your bench by much more than you'd think.

No, what a moronic concept. Maybe if you're discussing people who were athletic in their childhood or not and how easily they can transition to lifting weights, but who cares anyway? Just go exercise.

Yes, when you believe in bro science
No, when you go through your midwit akshually phase
Yes again, when you realize that it works as a descriptor for frame more so than body composition, as thin frames and joints are clearly inferior to thick ones

Wouldn't say inferior or superior, stronger and weaker for sure but the weaker ones tend to be faster than the slow and strong ones, the athletic in-between mix is the balance of the two worlds.

I'm a manlet with small joints and I don't feel any benefit to my speed. If anything, the lanky guys will outrun me most of the time. I do however acutely feel the limitations on my strength training with these dainty woman bones

Maybe you got more explosive strength? build up your jumping height etc and train for Kettlebell sports (the good boy sport so to speak not the hard style.). Lanklets are just the ultimate speed build.

I don't, but that's probably because muscle fibers also play a role. I was always a grinder when it came to heavy lifts, people who I have watch my form say that it's good but they have never seen someone take as long as I do for a max attempt yet still get it.

Obviously. Some people find it hard to gain weight and others find it hard to lose weight. For evidence of this, go outside and look around. No debate to be had. Doesn’t mean your somatotype predicts your personality like the guy thought, but that’s not what anyone takes them to mean these days anyway.
