i squat over 500 x 5 and have never used this dumb shit, never foam roll, never stretch
if you squat less you better not be either
have some respect for yourself and stop wasting your time with this shill shit
Look kid, I get it, you're like 18-20 shitposting on IST and you want to seem tough so you say you have this BIG WEIGHT lift and we all know you don't.
Literally all the big names stretch. You physically have to stretch if you're actually lifting big because specific muscle groups will antagonize others and cause impingement or prevent proper form if you don't.
So keep shitposting, but remember that literally every lifter who is worth a damn stretched.
>at the start of the workout
no professional reccomends this lmao. Stretch as part of a cooldown or something post workout. The beginning should be at most ballistic stretching in conjunction with elevating heart rate/getting blood flowing.
this too
Off the top of my head and this is just one of many examples I can pull out.
Arnold Scwarzenegger would spend 5 hours a day working out. 2.5 per session.
He would before and after the workout stretch for up to an additional thirty minutes for 6 hours total work per day.
Before workouts he would do dynamic stretches. Which he relates to neural activation or "warmups" simply activating the muscle to full extension and contraction.
After workouts he would do static stretches.
Beyond that comes the idea of mobility drills, training sessions that involve not just physically pumping muscles, but working the brain to muscle connection.
Such examples of this would be doing independent scapula exercises, rotator cuff. Where by elevating one scapula up while depressing the other. You can develop a better connection to your body.
Besides all of this there is plenty of evidence that maximum rom is not enough to sustain rom. As the body moves to a specific length various muscle/tendon/skin/cartilage strips will limit themelves as much as possible to this length. Over time your ROM diminishes.
By going slightly past the natural rom provided by your own movement (stretching) all of these factors will lengthen to this forced rom. Allowing your natural movement to maintain.
Besides Arnold there are plenty of others who do such things as ballet or even martial arts to maintain a stretched and mobile form in the weightlifting community.
One of the leading causes of cubital syndrome for reference is lack of stretching. The fibers both in the forearm and the upper arm are too rigid and therefore the ulnar nerve sits too firmly over time.
Anyone who ones one of these has pressed it against their clit or clitty (male) until they achieved orgasm and you CANNOT let them get away with bringing it into the gym to press it against their taint after squatting.
Idk if it actually does anything but I've had sore spots and places that crack when I move. With my thera gun it's not sore anymore. It's helped my tennis/golfers elbow unbelievably. Pain every day to pain every other day. And I've only had the theragun for a couple weeks.
there is very very limited evidence that massage guns can break apart tissue and promote bloodflow.
it's not enough to give a definitive on, it doesn't work for everyone it seems, just very specific areas.
That's why I said idk. It's just worked for me in a very short time. It's helped me go to the gym 6 days a week. So even if it's placebo it's still working for me in the end so idk.
Kind of a meme. If it helps you with chronic tendons and joint pain then go for it. But active rehab, isometrics, and slow eccentrics will always be better for tendons
Idk but I always pull it out at the gym to try and use It on women. Non have taken the bait so far. But I've seen a few eyeing it up when I pull it out.
You're not supposed to do that there. You have an abundance of lymphatic nodes there and to use an actual percussion massager down there like a theragun is very bad. You could end up rupturing them or damaging them.
maybe up your ass

I don’t even squat
I promise you, you should stretch
One day you will get injured and regret this post
Also I bet your mobility is trash, same with your squat form
>i don't foam roll
>never stretch

You need to go back.
Back to fricking your mom, alright kid.
I know how much you enjoy watching that you little homosexual.
He'll snap a ligiment or a bone, don't help him let him be moronic.
What kind of stretches? Like a flexibility routine like a workout or just at the start of the workout or what?
Your butthole

Learn English.
Also ive never came from mine.
Dogshit meme toys. I use a theracane, foam roller and a claw hammer to massage myself.
I haven't used a massage gun that hits hard enough the way I need it.
I own this. I've honestly only used it on my penis and sometimes on quads. I does shit but will make you jizz pretty fast.
Go on
It improves your sleep, so yes
I recently bought a Theragun and I couldn't be happier
it took care of the knots in my neck that caused me vertigo
you see basketball and football players use massage guns on the sidelines during games, so I assume it's not for recovery
>Are these good for recovery?
Maybe, but probably not.
Worth it? Probably not.
Can be good if you get pulled muscles like I do from do weights for hours.
If you see a woman with on chances are its not for fitness...
I always puy mine under my balls when I jerk my wiener. Couldn't wank without it.
Sounds like a perilous relationship
I feel like my theragun would tear my balls off

you can just use it on your own muscle and feel the knots disappear, why do people need studies to show this to them lol
works great for hitting pecs after chest day
it mostly just feels good but what it really does is just send more blood to the area. which aids in tissue healing . also you can use it to jerk off
How? Everytime I put my theragun my my dick and balls it hurts pretty bad.
the pain is the best part
Enjoy shooting blanks for the rest of yer life

of course
NOT!
hahaha gotcha
feels good but doesnt help recovery or anything
its great for taint massage because if you press hard enough it makes your entire wiener vibrate and thats pretty cool if you ask me
