        Bear hug walks, high pulls, sandbag to shoulders. Basically what you would do with an atlas stone. You can use circuits to ramp up intensity for cardio, although I alternate with sprint/assault bike days. My biceps and back have blown up (rounded back lifting). It doesn't do much for my tris though unfortunately. You have to lift HEAVY though, and not use those BS tiny strap sandbags.

        Honestly even my hands seem to have changed since I started this. Barbells are optimized to be lifted, they are meant to be picked up. Sandbags are much closer to real life, so they develop the real life musculature. I imagine this is how ancient greeks developed their bodies

            I do something similar. I alternate between sandbag days and lighter kettlebell/calisthenics mobility focused days. i'm about to graduate to the 150lb bag from the 100lb bag overfilled to about 110lbs. my goal for the year is to be able to ragdoll the 150lb sandbag like it's nothing. what weight bag do you lift?

          Sandbags sold by companies like Rogue for example are also made with the purpose to be lifted, just like barbells, they are tightly packed and the weight inside doesn't move around.
          They are also comfortable to lift because they don't hurt your skin. If you really want to simulate lifting something in the wild, go find a huge rock, a large trunk of a tree, the external unit of a large AC lol.
          Something that was never meant to be lifted, otherwise you are again using equipment made to be lifted, just in a different form from a barbell.

        No, I did ohp with a bar and weights. I did rows and over the shoulders with the sandbags. I don’t know if anyone should call themselves a powerlifter if they haven’t competed in powerlifting competitions.

    I have pic related which has three 20kg bags inside and it's heavy enough for my twink ass.
    I have a pretty fun lift where I deadlift it into my lap, take a zercher grip and extend up and toss it over my head.
