let's put it this way: there's not a single muscle it will grow that can't be grown just as well in a much safer, lower-risk exercise that also has much better rewards aesthetically + strengthwise, like barbell squats. With barbell squats you can get all the same hip, core, and back strength/size gains while also getting huge ripped quads. I would also say that romanian deadlifts using much lighter weight, slow tempo, and good concentration will blow up your hamstrings/glutes while strengthening your spinal erectors/lower back in a much safer movement. Just my two cents

I've always seen deadlifts as the test of your actual strength, rather than a lift for developing anything.

Everyone on nufit is a homosexual. Picking up heavy objects from the ground is a key component of being strong, so I deadlift. Simple as.

Just replace them with RDLs and get big hamstrings

I'll just share my experience. I used to do diddies in my routine and I enjoyed them a lot. I got injured and couldn't lift for almost 8 months. By that time I had moved out of my house with a garage and into an apartment on the top floor.
Now that I am healed and rehabbed and lifting like normal again, the only thing I haven't been able to do is deadlift. I replaced it with 4 sets of heavy dumbell dead lifts then a nice RDL workout (heavy).

I can feel the difference in my back. My legs are growing fine and feel like that are almost back to where they were, but my back is not at all. It doesn't have the same ridgity it had before, it doesn't look as good down the middle, as toned. I just feel so much weaker in the lower back and core in general

What can I do bros? I miss it, I want it back worse then all my ex-gf's. But I'm on the third floor. If I start dropping 3 plate deads on the even a rubber mate, I'll be evicted in less then a week.

Get ONE set of rubber plates and double up the mat. Rubber plates are thicker so they'll be the only ones touching the ground.
Or just don't drop the bar.
