When I realised strength is directly dependent on muscle size and neural factors can be maxed out in a couple months, making high rep bodybuilding style training superior to le 3-5 reps long term.
I still squat and deadlift but only for 3x12 a week each.

    never
aesthetics progress comes a lot slower than strength
focusing entirely on aesthetics as a natural is the faster way to burn out
you can in fact train your entire body and avoid getting fat while still taking part in powerlifting
there are weightclasses for a reason

How strong can you get with an amrap type of program? Something like 5/3/1 but with a lot more accessory volume in the hypertrophy range. I want to improve my numbers but I don't want to invest 3-6 months into a strenght specific program cycle

Developed mild shoulder impingement, probably from too much benching and sloppy form weighted dips.
I'm older now and look pretty good and am pretty strong but I just do a set or 2 to failure now, higher reps too.
If I don't focus on form and get sloppy, the next day that pickle is at the top on my shoulder again.

If you're not training for strength, why are you training? Gymcels need not answer.

Powerlifting is obviously a hobby that draws out the ire of a lot of people who simply can't do it for whatever reason, but even the eighty year old at the gym is training to maintain a certain level of strength for as long as possible.

I'm not a powerlifter either. The thing about it is: If you know why you're doing something then people doing that thing for another reason don't bother you.

Powerlifting is moronic because of people who think strength is magic and you need super special training to be strong.

Bro eat pizza and do 3 sets of 72.3 percent rm at rpe8!! And the next day you gotta have a dynamic day, 10 reps but rpe6 but with chains and sumo!-type of people.

In reality even if you look at westside guys they do a couple cns/technique sets with bands or w/e and then a shitton of basic 12 rep hypertrophy.

Training for strength, training for fitness and training to look better all feed into each other outside of an elite level.

Pencil necked motherfrickers who want to train like IFBB pros without any barbell movements are as bad as powershitter wannabes who become obese in order to hit 315 in the squat

815 pound deadlift tweaked my back. I was so hyped when I managed 800 DL as a natty lifter. And i thought I could go higher…. I’m done looking for numbers. Simple 4x10 routine makes me look pretty yoked

        >I’m done looking for numbers. Simple 4x10 routine makes me look pretty yoked
reads like a larp. you don't pull 800 without real programming knowledge

There's no "real programming knowledge" it's literally 4-12x8-12 of main lift and accessories once a week or two.

I don’t believe this. If you’re not lying just fricking pin for fricks sake. Anyone who could hit 800 natty is in the arena of world champion level

once i was strong enough to actually lift some real weight for 8-10 reps and my body significantly started changing due to the strength i built through hard work in the gym and increasing my Squat, deadlift and ohp to a point where i was on the edge of elite lifting as a natty
