>Average American male weight 199.8 lbs pre-pandemic
what will it be when most recent data comes in, and how would you solve the obesity epidemic in America and worldwide ?

why contain it?

>average american woman is 171 lbs
If this is what you look at 200 pounds then you have a fricking problem. I'm 5'7" 235 pounds and I don't look half that fat. Hell, I went up to 275 and didn't look that fat.
at 23566 lbs and 5'7 you have a BMI of 37. post body this instant and we'll tell you how delusional you are
>5'7
>BMI 3690
bros... is such a bulk even possible?
Post photo or US Navy Bf
Notbsure where you people got that I'm not fat. I am. Just not nearly as much as in that picture. Mind you, I've had patients who are literal butterball physique who weigh like 200 ppunds. And yes, they're extremely unhealthy. Skin drying and peeling off legs unhealthy.
Yeah, not sure what the people in here are freaking out about. That is not 200 pounds physique unless you are ultra manlet or you're nothing but fat.
>I'm 5'7" 235 pounds and I don't look half that fat
Doubt
5'9, at one time 198 lbs, but never looked like that
Post body
homiewut?
My theory on the "it's not fat it's muscle" concept is this. Anyone claiming that should have a sense of what their lifts are and thus should be able to calculate their Wilks. If you have a sub 200 Wilks you are DYEL and you get no pounds off. If you're above 200 Wilks, I'll grant you 1 pound off your BMI measurement for every 5 points above 200. So if you've got a 300 Wilks, fine, take off 20 lbs and calculate your BMI (adjusted for muscle).
According to this standard, you would need a Wilks of 580 (or a three lift total of 2151) to not be overweight. That's a 451lb bench, an 800lb squat and a 900lb diddly. Granted, I made all this shit up with no scientific backing but it feels like a valid standard to me.
Didn't know about Wilks but at 235 pounds I'm apparently at 332.56. I have no idea what that means.
That sounds too conservative but "it's not fat it's muscle" is a cope like 98% of the time
Unironically post body. If you're 5'7" and 235lbs, but don't look fat then you must be a fricking battle hamster.
>but don't look fat
Reading comprehension is not your forte. I'll post body when your collective IQ is high enough to read well enough to see I never said I wasn't fat.
>guys I weigh more but look marginally better than that guy in the pic that no one ever said was 200lbs!
Maybe you're the moron. If you think the guy in OPs pic is 5'9" and 200lbs then you're moronic.
>it's a picture of a fat man under 5'9" and 200 pounds stats but it was never meant to imply this is what 200 pounds looks like
Going into cope mode only means you've realized you're a fricking idiot. Which means my work is done here.
You have a good day.
you're delusional
>200lbs
>40inch waist
I weigh 200lbs (working on it) and I only have a 36 inch waist.
40 sounds pretty high.
>tfw when I am 6’ and weight less than an average American woman
are a skelly anon? im 511(heh) and weigh 185
>Average American male weight 199.8 lbs pre-pandemic
Remember this when anyone on IST brags about 2pl8 bench.
Are you implying that just by being 200 lbs you'll be able to bench 2 pl8s?
It's as impressive as someone who weighs 110lbs benching 1pl8.
your average fat frick american who is 200+ is going to kill themselves trying to bench 225
Wow, American r big man! In China we are not so rarge but we are crafty to make up for this. Maybe American should move to China?
I was with some doctors and one was complaining about how their back always hurts. Without hesitation the Chinese doc said “it’s because your fat, lose some weight”. Chinese doc didn’t even know the guy very well and the nurse
And the nurse what?
Sorry. The nurse made some astonished look like the Chinese doc said something very offensive
In my experience in Yurop, in Switzerland, it's the same. I was handled a little info booklet how swimming is the best way to lose weight once I cracked like 8 kg overweight (no idea if he'd done it even before). Sincerely based.
We on the continent still have a tradition of sneering at people being a visual nuisance in the landscape.
as long as you can do 5 full rom pullups being obese is fine.
t. bmi >30
Those numbers have gone up a LOT since 2018 when the survey was taken
30 lbs up and that's self reporting, aka cope and lying so the real numbers are going to be even higher
It's pretty bad here
Disgusting. I am 5'9 and weight 145.5 lbs.
Here you can see in what percentile is your BMI in the US. Mine is 21.6 and the fricking 93% of amerifats are fatter than me:

It must suck to not grow up playing a sport, reading books and having friends like I did. You end up some fat dumb loser
True tbh. My parents made me do all that shit (except for having friends as a male that's easy imo) and I'm so much better for it
American are evolving into machines
The average woman being 5'4 170 is honestly disgusting
