Everyone always says this shit. Let people get a tattoo if they so desire. Just because you're too much of a pussy to handle a little needle doesn't mean everyone else should be too.

I personally don't mind tattoos on people and they can be pretty cool but I wouldn't really want them on my skin because no picture is cooler than all those veins and muscle striations. So there isn't really any good places available.
Basically if I was forced to pick a place to get a tattoo at gunpoint I'd probably get one on my neck.

So we should let people do whatever they want, but people aren't allowed to say what they want? That always seems the case with you sois. The guy just posted that he thinks they're corny - which they are.

I may look autistic now, but I would never get a tattoo because it would feel like I can never be completely naked again once I take off my clothes.

Whoa bro you're so fricking tough, you can handle a the pain induced by a SMALL NEEDLE?
Goes both ways honestly if you think tattoos make you though you are a b***h, regardless if you have them or not.

Knew a musician/waiter who went to college for music who had some obscure music annotation tattoo’s on his forearm. Guy was nice, but really pretentious about a lot of shit. A famous rock musician comes in and ends up at his table. He’s a big fan so he rolls up his sleeve and shows the famous rock musician.

Rock musician has no fricking clue what it is and my friend has to explain it to him. Someone on staff saw this happen, shares the story and everyone laughed. Every time I see him pop up on my socials I think of that story, his tattoo and chuckle.

He now is a wedding singer in San Francisco.

Music is a hobby at best I got the big ass tattoos and I like to play music but what the frick would anyone want to be a wedding singer for, that can't pay well and wedding music tends to be boring boomsr bullshit anyways.

I don’t think the dude wanted to be a wedding singer. He just didn’t have what it takes to be an artist, or actual independent musician.

He came from a upper middle class background so right away his work ethic and reality was on the softer side. It’s one thing to have to scratch your way from the bottom, trying to escape a shit life, it’s another to be born into comfort and your idea of hard work was mowing the lawn. Your ideas of what it takes in a really competitive field is just wrong, your work ethic doesn’t have enough fuel to make the sacrifices that it takes.

Also he just wasn’t that creative. Which is why tattoos are so played out. It’s like that saying with films “show don’t tell”. Tattoos “tell” everyone who you think you are. It’s some advanced larping at this point. Tattoos used to mean actual shit, like you were in the military or a street or biker gang. It was a sign of an actual turning point in your life, because the ramifications where life altering since society itself would change the way they looked at you. That’s no longer the case.

Anyone for whatever dumb reason can get one, and they do. It is meaningless now. Someone can read a book, feel inspired for a week by a quote and then get it tatted on them. That is zero stakes, compared to if you would find people staring at you like a convict or not letting you near their communities over that tat.

You would actually have to deal with actual consequences for having a tat. Now? Zero. Might as well get inspired by a fortune cookie and get that tatted somewhere. Which I am sure has happened plenty of times.

That’s, again, mean nothing. It’s advanced larping for people who people who think magical thoughts are more valid than things like actual hard work and commitment.

My brother has Bigfoot tattooed on his arm what do you think he's trying to larp as bigfoot?

He's trying to larp as an someone who is different or interesting when he isn't. He's just another fingerprint on a the side of a skyscraper trying to tell himself that he's unique through any means possible.

it's such a common tattoo you could buy a temp tattoo of it.
