I got hit by a car while biking and had a nasty concussion. It fucked up my grad program, my relationship, etc. It was bad.
Since then I've been trying to commute via running and public transit, but its not working at all. Public transit is excruciating, slow, unreliable and full of terrible people. Running feels good, but I need to do 45 miles per week to run my commute, and I can't even get to 20 without getting runners knee. My knees hurt all the time now. Whenever I start a run, its a just a question of how long I can go before my knees hurt. Usually not more than 10 mins.
So my cardio is going to shit because my knees cant support me long enough to get a run in, I'm spending 3h a day on buses instead of 45 minutes on a bike, and I'm getting home after midnight when I should be home by 11.
I promised myself I'd stop biking, but I'm so close to giving up and just going back to biking.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk
Go back to biking, but carry a full propane tank in the back and make sure to paint it bright
I've noticed that cars sure as hell don't get close when I do that
lmao bike garden gnomes
Aren't you that moron from the bus? Enjoy your gut and diabetes foot, gay.
Just want to say that any driver that hits a pedestrian or bicyclist should have their license revoked for a minimum of five (5) years, and if a mobile device was a factor in the crash the penalty is automatically death. Those dumbfucks don't pay attention because there is next to no consequences for hitting someone. Best of luck to you anon
Roads are made for cars. Stay in your bike lane.
>suv
Of course it had to be one of those, fuckers are the worst and don't give a fuck by anyone, nor pedestrians, bikers or fellow drivers.
But you need to get back on that saddle anon, more so if it makes your life easier.
i ride a 955cc motorcycle everyday and nothing has ever happened to me. but if something does it will be my fault even if it isnt because not matter how good someone elses intentions are, you are stuck with the consequences of their actions
Is that a marin? damn those are cool bikes. Looks like 120mm travel in the rear and 140 in the front.
Neat suspension design, always liked single pivot and horizontal shocks.
Maybe go biking just not on the shitty streets.
nice triumph triple.
>>I got hit by a car while biking and had a nasty concussion.
>This was entirely your own fault and you know it, bike fag.
bad day?
Its a whyte t-120s. Its a very weird British design from 2011. Its my first full suspension bike, so I can't really compare it to anything, but it does feel good compared to my zero suspension street bike
You live in London. just take the tube instead of the buses.
>I got hit by a car while biking and had a nasty concussion.
This was entirely your own fault and you know it, bike fag.
>It fucked up my grad program
Dumb graduate student. Not surprising.
>my relationship, etc. It was bad.
Your relationship was shit to begin with if an injury threatened it.
>Reddit spacing. Fucking gay.
Since then I've been trying to commute via running and public transit, but it’s not working at all.
> no shit.
Public transit is excruciating, slow, unreliable
> no shit
and full of terrible people.
>such as yourself
Running feels good, but I need to do 45 miles per week to run my commute,
>running isn’t commuting
and I can't even get to 20 without getting runners knee. My knees hurt all the time now. Whenever I start a run, it’s a just a question of how long I can go before my knees hurt. Usually not more than 10 mins.
>why don’t you bitch and moan about it a little harder and maybe your knees will feel sorry for you and stop hurting so bad.
>more gay space
So my cardio is going to shit because my knees cant support me long enough to get a run in, I'm spending 3h a day on buses instead of 45 minutes on a bike, and I'm getting home after midnight when I should be home by 11.
>nobody to blame but yourself, bike fag. You should have obeyed the rules of the road.
>gay space
I promised myself I'd stop biking,
>because you’re a pussy?
but I'm so close to giving up and just going back to biking.
>ok?
>gay space

Simple.
Just get a job that pays 150k a year and work from home

You didn’t get any money out of the accident?
