I think diffuse thinning is easier to recover from with proper treatment (Fin + Min)

Diffuse thinning is when you start balding all over the top of your head
The other type of balding is hairline recession where your hair starts falling out at the temples and starts to creep up until you're bald
It's also possible to have both forms of balding

I keep googling finasteride/monoxidl 2 year results and not much pop up. It seems after the 2 year mark all fin users just stop talking about it? Or it's just a very short period of hair growth then you lose it all anyway after another year. When I go on youtube those "success" stories are always with a transplant at some point to

There are people taking it for decades. I guess they maximize their results in 2 years and just keep maintaining it and move on from hair

Finasteride isn’t meant to reverse balding, it just greatly slows down the process of balding. Minox gives some new hair growth from improving bloodflow, but this will go away if you stop using it. There are some freak cases of people growing a lot of hair back with minoxidil/finasteride, but I suspect these peoples problems was not just male pattern baldness but they had another type of baldness/thinning as well.

That's just genetics and individual response to fin/dut/min.
You can go on reddit right now and you'll see there are cases where min/fin/dut actually SPED UP balding in some people (they just shed a shitload of hair and they don't proceed beyond the shedding phase, they just frick their shit up).
Some people are non-responders, for example fin did frick all for me, but dut works.
MPB is still a big fricking mystery and all those drug companies are just walking around in the dark with a candle stick.

I hate morons who say this, like as if it's completely impossible for just fin only to regrow hair. It can regrow hair, homosexual, not just stall hair loss, it just depends on the person. For some, it will only stall, for others, it will straight up regrow. Stop parroting shit you read on reddit.

Fin reduces DHT production, less DHT on your scalp, as a result hair can regrow.

Diffuse thinning is thinning all over the top.
However your pattern is a diffuse thinning very pronounced at the centre of your scalp instead of all over evenly so it would be irresponsible to put you with the rest of diffuse thinner, it is the second most responsive pattern of hair loss after crown hair loss but it does not guaranteed you that you will improve.
Diffuse thinning is the most brutal pattern though, you can go completely bald in 1 year and nothing will save you there, medication is the only way for diffuse thinners, You CAN'T be a non-responder as a diffuse thinner if not then its over.
Don't listen people trying to get you to do stupid shit like vitamins or get more sun.
You need minoxidil fin or even dut.

What is diffuse thinning and how is it different than regular balding?

diffuse thinning should be reversible in most cases.
You have to get your hormones, vitamins and minerals checked.
Due to an overload of constant stress after 6 months, your whole bodyfunction can change.
      Important vitamins/minerals: zinc, magnesium, iron, vitamin B12/whole B complex, biotin, D3, C.

If you have been affected by stress for a longer period of time, some of your vitamin/mineral deposits might be depleted - fill them up with supplements 10-20x daily requirement. Firstly check what vitamins and minerals have deposits ofc.

Doctors have a hard time finding the cause of diffuse balding - it really could be anything therefore most of them don't even bother on checking more than your blood levels.

These modern times come with a lot of stress. Get yourself some solid stress reduction methods. Hiking, walking, biking, gym, meditation and reduce media exposure.
      Also reduce your coomer habits.
Cooming increases prolactin. Something you want to avoid as it is linked to gyno and hairloss (especially diffuse thinning)

Better yet, after you have read this tl;dr post get of this website for at least 6 months and set your priorities. This site is filled with insecure people harming everyone else with their bullshit. Body dysmorphia is a real thing. Look at all these mogging threads, its really unhealthy.

Go out in the sun, walk in the woods, set goals -reach em and be the best version of yourself.
      Godspeed anon

it does but it might not reverse it on its own, dutasteride works better, and there's a new topical coming out that may work better than either one but FDA approval is like 3 years away

a lot of moronic broscience being posted here

diffuse thinning in most cases is just androgenetic alopecia which is the same as a receded hairline. DHT is miniaturizing your hair follicles until they can no longer grow any hair. In the case of diffuse thinning, your hair follicles are just programmed to shrink at the same time all over your scalp.

finasteride might help preserve whatever hair you have left but there's a risk of side-effects so I don't recommend that. You're essentially blocking the production of 11 different hormones and their metabolites. Doing that for a lifetime is risky.

Next thing you can try is ketoconazole shampoo. Most common brand in US stores is Nizoral shampoo, although Regenpure seems to be a better brand if you can get your hands on it. It gets rid of sebum and it has anti-androgenic properties. When you shower with it, leave it on your scalp for at least 5 minutes to help your skin absorb it. It definitely slowed down my diffuse thinning but it did not stop. When I discontinued using ketoconazole shampoo altogether, my hair loss rapidly increased so this shit definitely works based on my personal experience.

finally, there's rogaine aka minoxidil. it's a hair growth stimulant but it does not target the root cause of androgenetic alopecia so it's not a long-term solution on its own. lots of guys have great results with it, but unfortunately I couldn't use it because I'm part of the small minority of men who gets severe side-effects from it.

some people also suggest using oral minoxidil which is really powerful at stimulating hair growth but it's a dangerous drug so I definitely do not recommend using it.

I started minoxidil last week but it's hard to get down to scalp level, feels like most it it just winds up in my hair not on my scalp. Next application I'm just gonna take the foam can thing and apply directly to like five dots straight on my scalp area not put it on my hands and try to work it in there.
