I'm your age and don't have acne, but the scars have destroyed any chance I had of getting sex

my acne has let up more now but my face is still full of scars too and it's really ugly, is there anything I can do other than take care of my skin and hope it goes away within a few years? isn't there some form of laser treatment you can do for it?

that definitely sounds worth a shot, now to figure out how expensive it is to do at home. thank you!

You can get a microneedling roller on Amazon / online for pretty cheap. Just make sure you are extremely sanitary and read on proper home usage. Good luck! There’s hope for all of us

I have the most oily skin of anyone I've ever met. In my 30s and I still have oily skin. The only way you still have acne is if you aren't cleaning properly. Wash your face an hour before sleeping with warm water and gentle wiping with a cloth. Once a week use a basic cleaner. I use St. Ives cleaner. The important part is your pillowcase. Get multiple sets and change it every 2 nights. Flip pillow so you are always sleeping on a fresh side. As long as I keep to this I do not have acne. Slipping from any of what I listed even for a single night might cause a flare up.

Bullshit. Think about all the homeless people who shower maybe once a year and they have no acne.
You're either prone to acne or you're not, it has nothing to do with hygiene.

It could be hormonal, diet, autoimmune related. Overwashing also can be worse than lack of washing.

Cold showers. You probably have dry skin. Or it's hormonal and your blood sugar is fricked.

Get a double edged safety razor for shaving, i switched to it and it helped my face acne.
After that check up on your diet and try to take a group of items for a week and see if that improves things. Go a week without sweets/soda and see if that makes a change. Then switch it up with dairy and so on until you see a reduction.

Stop eating chocolate, stop drinking beer, stop eating sóy/gmo corn shit, stop snacking on crap food, use hand sanitizer that's safe for your skin, then a moisturizer, rinse and repeat before shower.

Your skin will clean up in about 6 months.

I would try tretinoin first. Accutane can severely frick you up, tretinoin makes you break out more at worst.

Actual good advice from a fellow greasy- number one thing I recommend is some kind of hypochlorous acid product, especially after washing your face, before / after gym or getting sweaty. Double cleans, use an oil first (literally rub almond oil or jojoba oil on the greasiest parts of your face), rinse, then use a salicylic acid face wash. Use only clean towels to dry your face. Follow with skincare product specifically made to even skin tone and improve texture. Will look better soon. My gf made me do this when we started dating, few months later and I rarely have a cystic acne flare.
